Lesson 1 - island and surfaces
Take a look around your kitchen. If you tackled the Islands and Surfaces micro-zone, your home is already functioning differently. The kitchen is the heart of the home, but the countertops are the "brain"! When they are clear, the mental load feels lighter instantly. This wasn't just about cleaning; it was about reclaiming your workspace. The Big Change By clearing the visual noise, you’ve done more than just "tidy up." You have: - Reduced Decision Fatigue: No more moving three things just to make a sandwich. - Created a "Reset" Standard: Now that you’ve seen the surfaces clear, it’s much easier to spend 2 minutes at night keeping them that way. - Opened Up Your Home: Clear surfaces make the whole room feel larger and more inviting. 📸 Show Off Your Hard Work! The best way to keep this momentum going is to celebrate the "Before & After." Drop a photo of your clear island or favorite countertop corner in the comments below! Let’s flood the feed with these beautiful, functional spaces to inspire the moms who are just starting. Keeping the Surfaces Clear If you realized during your 15 minutes that items keep landing on your counters because they don't have a "home," these solutions can help keep that "Island Reset" permanent: - Stackable Airtight Food Containers: If your counters were cluttered with half-open bags, moving staples into these clear, stackable bins saves space and looks beautiful. - Under-Cabinet Spice Racks: Free up prime counter real estate by moving spice jars into a hidden, pull-down rack under your cabinets. - Expandable Drawer Dividers: Often, counter clutter happens because the drawers are full. Use these adjustable bamboo dividers to create more room inside your drawers so the "stuff" has a place to go. You’ve officially mastered the most visible part of the kitchen. Ready to tackle what's inside the cabinets next?

My before and after of my coffee bar (yes it's in my kitchen... I classified it as counter/surfaces)
Welcome to the Spring Cleaning Challenge! 🌸
I am so excited to have you here. I know that as a busy mom, the idea of "Spring Cleaning" usually feels like an impossible mountain to climb. We often think we need to block off an entire weekend, send the kids away, and scrub until our hands hurt. This challenge is different. Built Around Your Life We aren't changing our lives to fit this organization; we are building these systems around your actual life. This challenge is made up of micro-tasks specifically designed for the "mental load" we all carry. The 15-Minute Rule Do you have 15 minutes today? That’s all you need to start. - Short on time? Pick just one micro-task. - Have a burst of energy? Tackle a few! - Life got in the way? That’s okay. Pick it back up tomorrow. A Marathon, Not a Sprint We aren't looking for a "perfect" house by Sunday. We are looking for functional systems that stick. This is a marathon, not a sprint. We are moving at a pace that respects your time and your energy. 🚀 How to Get Started: Check the "Classroom" Tab: This is your Hub. You'll find the modules for each room (starting with the Kitchen Reset!). Download Your Checklist: Grab the digital PDF so you can see your wins as you go. Say Hello in the Feed: Post a quick "I'm in!" below. Knowing we're doing this together is what keeps the momentum going. Ready to start? Head over to the first module in the Classroom and let’s tackle that first micro-zone together!

Where is your home "leaking" time?
Welcome to The Efficient Home Method! 🫡 We’re here because we’re done with "tidying" and ready for systems. As the Commander of your house, you know exactly where the friction is. Before we dive into the AI tools and decluttering sprints, let’s do a quick performance review. The Icebreaker: Introduce yourself and tell us which "Department" in your home is currently failing its audit: - Inventory Crisis: (The Costco overbuy, 4 open ketchups, "What’s for dinner?" at 5:00 PM). - Logistics & Flow: (The school-run sprint, bento-box assembly lines, "Where are my keys?"). - Data Overload: (School forms, mail piles, the digital mental load of 1,000 to-dos). - The Sensory Wall: (Too much stuff in the house, no "logic" to where things live). My Current Bottleneck: a bit of everything... I struggle to choose between taking time to play with my 4 kids, cleaning up and decluttering and planning the grocery list... I feel pulled in all directions. Drop your # and a quick "Hello" below. Let’s see who else is fighting the same battles!

Other than proofreading emails , not really
That doesn't belong there?
Do you store items in odd locations because it serves you better there? I have odd items a bit everywhere. My kids bathing suits aren't in their rooms, while my kids were potty training, I had underwear in every bathroom and I have hair accessories in my coffee table. It might not make sense for you, but it does for me . I noticed that every morning before school, I would bring a brush and elastics to the living to do my girls hair . Instead, I decided to put everything I used every morning in a bin and stash it inside my coffee table.
That doesn't belong there?

Yes! I have weird things everywhere. My kiddies love doing their homework at the island while I cook so we have a big basket of pencils and markers beside my sink. I love it though! Its such a time saver for me!
