I’m almost back 🙏
Well it’s been quite an interesting few months and time for a positive update. So what happened ? 3 months ago I passed out and as I fell I fractured my skull and ended up with a brain bleed and damage to the front of the brain. 😞 After many tests I found out my heart was stopping for 6 to 8 seconds multiple times during the day and night. It was this that coursed me to blackout all those months ago. So to fix this I had minor heart surgery 4 weeks ago. Good news is I should now be well enough to get back into the studio and again do live streaming from Wednesday 13th May fingers crossed. I’m really sorry about all this but I’m almost back in the studio and will look forward to seeing you all soon. Regards Martin

Oh my goodness!! You have been through the mill, Martin. Glad to hear that the problem with your heart has been rectified. Xx
I have had to cancel today’s live stream
Due to medical appointments related to my head injury I'm sorry to say I’ve have had to cancel today’s live stream. The more positive news is as of April I will be streaming 3 live oil painting classes per week. These will be regularly streamed every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Please view the calendar tab for streamed times. All streams will be recorded and available to rewatch from the classroom tab. Thank you for all your patience and understanding during this healing process. I’m pleased to confirm my fractured skull and brain bleed are healing well albeit somewhat slower than I had hoped. Regards Martin

A little update on my banged up head
Hi everyone I’ve been told I need to rest which I am doing to allow my head to mend and heal. I’m going to see how I feel tomorrow midday before I make an about tomorrow’s live stream. I’m not sure I’m going to be well enough to do it but will see how things look tomorrow. I must say having a fractured skull and brain bleed was not on my todo list or business plan for this week so it’s all a little strange really. Really sorry for this as I really need to upload lesson videos and courses but this takes a focus I don’t currently have. Apparently the Dr’s have said I will feel much better within the next 14 days. I’m sure they’re right. Chat soon Martin x

Thank You Everyone for All Your Support While My Head Heals
So I'm pleased to say after three weeks of rest my head injury is on the mend. It's going to tack another 5 weeks for my fractured skull to heal but much of the dizziness and unpleasant feelings have subsided. Tuesday and Thursday streams are therefore now back. so please do join in the fun and lets get back to making this Skool a place to learn from. Sadly I still can't drink any wine for a while longer but looking forward to our next wine tasting moments in class where I can sip a little with you all. One thing I’ve managed to figure out all on my own is my head is attached to everything else so even making a coffee is challenging 😥 Thank you to everyone for your understanding and help while my skull heals. Martin

Oregon Mist, oil on canvas 800mm x 40mm
This is where my seascapes all started from. A photo that my son took in Oregon's west coastal area. I love it's solitude and peace, it's calming atmosphere. What do feel about it ?

As you know, I absolutely adore this painting. I have an affinity with the sea especially when it interacts with the coast and this captures power and stillness beautifully.
