Decision Locked In
Sometimes our biggest wins are just finally making a decision between two choices. For many of us skool community owners it is hard to figure out if we are staying free or going totally paid. Well I finally changed my model. I don't know about you, but me? I am a major overthinker. I am a have back up plans A-Z and stress tested in my head all the possibilities. I am also stubborn in that once I make a decision I try my hardest to stick through it even if it sucks. What solidified my choice was talking it through with some other skool owners on my community call. Which guys please please please there is so much power in doing calls in your community. And when you can join other community calls and not just only host your own. There is power in sharing. But yeah with the changes in discovery and skool boost and reviews, I saw my group was penalized for being free. And since changing to paid, I got a new member and a few reviews. So here is to hoping you guys too get to make a decision. Happy choice making!

First Topic & Share Calls (this Tues & Thurs)
Our first community meetings (woohoo) are: 📅 Tuesday, 9am ET: [Calendar/Call Link] 📅 Thursday, 1:30 ET: [Calendar/Call Link] I’ll eventually settle into a regular schedule, but for now, feel free to throw out your preferred days/times in the comments and I’ll see what I can do. I’ll introduce a topic and discuss it for 5–10 minutes, then open the floor for 3–5 minute (max) shares on the topic or whatever’s on your mind. We can also discuss ideas/solutions and ways to hold ourselves accountable. No pressure to be on camera or share, even in small meetings - - I’ve got a TON of learnings, stories, and ideas to share. I’m confident you’ll get a gem or three out of every meeting - - along with some commiseration, inspiration, and a few laughs. I can’t emphasize enough how important and appreciated attendance at these early meetings will be. We’re trying to establish momentum, variety, and a great community culture. So please come, even if you don’t feel ready to speak - - I was a pure learner (not a lurker) for 3 months before my first share in a sobriety community. And if you do share, you get to practice composing your thoughts (succinctly - - the struggle is real), build confidence, improve your public speaking, and strengthen your prefrontal cortex - - home of the elusive executive function. Keep an eye out for a post about the topic the day before each meeting. The topic for Tuesday is my arch-enemy: self-sabotage. Here's my wildly fascinating/thought-provoking post: Topic

I should be able to make the Thursday one since I am off work that day already. See you then!
Relaunch Replay
Greetings, peeps. I've attached the relaunch call we did on Tuesday (finally, damn ADD), which starts in progress with me explaining the community name change, and I later discuss plans for the community - - the biggest one being adding live calls to share/commiserate about our struggles, celebrate our wins, and exchange ideas. For more on my overall philosophy I hope you've read my Intro Post. Also on the call, Bill shared the story of why he sold the community, and why he chose me - - which included him sensing I was a "super genuine guy, who loves & cares about community and wants to bring people together, on live calls." 🙇🏻 I also loved him calling me Captain Cappy. There are many gems within the call - - thanks again for the participation, which is key to reestablishing momentum and making this community great. Growing it is also key so please invite others, referral link in settings. (I have a whole new appreciation for participation now that I'm an owner, so please help a brother out). I should have a post about calls for next week by tomorrow. (note: you can click on the arrow to listen/rewind at faster speeds)

@Brian Cappy Cappello Yeah for shares and such I don't record. At least not in my group. I only record workshops or the VIP calls with their permission. I am actually off on Thursday so I can make that share call otherwise I normally wouldn't due to work. But I did add it to my calendar
Founders Guild/ADHD Nation Relaunch Party on Tues!
ICYMI in @Bill Widmer's announcement, these two handsome fellas are hosting a zoom party next Tuesday at 9am ET https://www.skool.com/adhd-entrepreneurs-playground-1470/calendar?eid=32d221f4dac649a5b595a78b6e813190 And, I changed the community name to ADHD nation - - to be more descriptive, and mirrors my sobriety community, Rewired Nation (Bill's good w/it). PLEASE add to your calendars now - - RSVP's would help so we know how much food & drink to order. JK JK but will be fun, fun, fun - - including Bill's Pee-Wee Herman impression! And I might throw out some stand-up comedy material on ADHD (I've got a ton, including a real doozy). We'll also talk about what Bill did on here in the past and my (many) ideas for the future - - would love feedback (and ideas). Feel free to comment if coming and/or have thoughts. And PLEASE spread the word to others in the community, since many may not have their notifications on - - I'm working on mass contacting everyone but could use the help. To adjust notifications (hopefully turn all on for now -- you can also follow me) go to settings on bottom right under the logo/description - - you'll also find a community invite link there to send to everyone you know 🥳. See you then! (additional Zoom schedule coming - - keep checking back, I hope to post daily).. - Cap

Hope there is a replay! Will be at work
The Founders Guild was SOLD! 🤯
This community started at a coffee shop in Austin, with 4 people meeting up to co-work and help each other focus. Over time, that in-person event grew to nearly 30 people a week... and then moved here, online, to Skool. We're now 1,100 members strong, from all over the world. That still blows my mind. But as you know, it got quiet. Not because I stopped caring. Because I went back to running my SEO business full-time and I couldn't give this place the energy it deserves. (Which is, let's be honest, an extremely ADHD thing to do. Build something you love, then watch it drift because you overcommitted somewhere else.) So I had two options. Let it keep drifting, or find someone who can actually show up for it. I want you to meet your new guild master: @Brian Cappy Cappello. He just purchased The Founders Guild and will be taking charge here! He's been a member for a while now, so some of you already know him. He actually interviewed me on his podcast! But if you don't know him yet, here's a bit about him: He's one of us. He has ADHD. He's in recovery; he's open about it, and he runs live support calls in the sobriety world where showing up consistently for people is the entire job. He's not coming in here to sell you a system for beating your ADHD. He's coming in as someone still figuring it out, who wants to build the room where we figure it out together. Which is exactly what this was when we started at that coffee shop two years ago. Here's what's changing: Brian's running it, and he's bringing back regular live calls. Those were always the best part of this place. What's not changing: the focus stays on ADHD and neurodivergent founders. And I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying in here as a member, still posting, still in the comments. Two things I'd ask of you: 1. Say hi to Brian in the comments, and tell him one thing you'd want from this community if it were firing on all cylinders. He's reading every single one.

@Brian Cappy Cappello We shall see. I used to be a moderator here in the early days hence the higher count. But I do still check in from time to time
