Thank you to everyone who joined the Natural Dye workshop
It was nice having you join @Melissa Gill and I today for the Natural Dye workshop on Earth Day! My sincere apologies for not having participants video and mic turned on, but I think we got all your questions from the chat. I will have the replay up tomorrow. In the meantime check out the prep videos in the Classroom. They are short 5min easy to follow videos.

Looking forward to it ladies
What if you could create your own pocket square colours?
When you start working with natural dyes, like what we are doing with red cabbage, something interesting happens… You’re no longer choosing from what’s available. You’re creating the colour. With different mordants and pH changes, red cabbage can shift into: • Pale cool blues • Soft greens • Dusty purples • Muted pinks all from one ingredient! But here’s the real question: Which of those colours actually suit you? Because they won’t all work equally well. Some will make you look fresh and clear. Others will feel flat or slightly off, even if the colour itself is beautiful. This is where I believe your colour type becomes really useful. Instead of guessing…you start recognising which versions of blue, green, or pink are yours. People start to notice your face first, not what you are wearing. It is why I have included the Fabric Formula in your goodies when you get to Level 5. The Fabric Formula will give you clarity. So check your leaderboard to see where you are at and then let us help you get there.

@Jane Harbison yes, it does suit blondes rather well.
Coming to watch Melissa Gill tomorrow?
ADD to your Calendar includes link to join Watch what she does with Red Cabbage as she shows us what you can do with this humble vegetable and silk and wool pocket squares. She can also answer your questions if you prefer to use cotton or linen. If you haven't done the prep - that is ok, it will be fun to observe and learn from Melissa's many years in the fine arts. The video will be available in the Classroom for a week after I get the replay up for you.

Depends how productive I am today 😆
What colour should your pocket square be?
It’s simpler than many think — but there are three things that matter: 1. It matches your colour type This is what makes it work with your natural colouring — not just your outfit. Because it sits not far from your face this matters. 2. It does NOT match your tie Same colour type? Great. Same fabric? No. You want contrast, not duplication. 3. The fabric complements your jacket This is what pulls the whole look together — texture matters just as much as colour. ⸻ Don’t know your colour type? You’ll find it inside Fabric Formula Normally $85 — but Free for you when you Level up to 5 where Bart Simpson will show you your true colours. Check your leaderboard. Not sure how to pair fabrics? Marge Simpson has you covered at Level 3 → That’s where the full pocket square + jacket pairing Style Guide lives. ⸻ QUESTION If you had to choose — do you usually get stuck on colour… or fabric?

Great resources @Jane Harbison !
What have you been working on?
I managed to get a little watercolour painting in after washing and watering the garden and doing some work on my website to optimise it for SEO and AI. It was a nice way to zone out with what was a beautiful Autumn afternoon. It is still work in progress which may end up on a pocket square. What are you working on today?

Pretty 😍 Ive been rearranging the workroom in preparation for a new machine. So a bit of purging of unnecessary items, and tidying up.
