Wk 18 / 2026 - End of Sewing Week Check In 🪡
Well… here we are at the end of the week. Needles threaded, unthreaded, re-threaded… plans followed, plans abandoned, and (hopefully) a few beautiful things brought to life along the way. On Monday, @Valerie The French Sewing Bee , @Jan Appleton , @Debra Verrall , @Jane Harbison , @Nancy Poekert , @Christy Steiger you all told me what was on your table (or not sewing on your table), now let's hear how it actually went. Not the perfect version. The real version. ⟶ What did you manage to start? ⟶ What actually moved forward (even a little)? ⟶ What’s still sitting there… waiting for you? ⟶ What surprised you this week? (a win, a problem, a “why did I do it like that?” moment 😄) This isn’t about ticking everything off. It’s about staying connected to your work, and to each other. I’ll be going through and celebrating with you properly, so don’t be shy with the details. Photos, progress, chaos… all of it is welcome here, we're here to learn & evolve. 🖤 Claire Amelia Now tell me, how did your week at the table really go? ⬇️

The wheels fell off my sew-a-long when I accidentally double booked myself, but am picking it up again on Wednesday. I did get 85m of curtains completed though.
Hello Monday, A New Sewing Week Commences 🪡
Good morning, makers! 🪡 The atelier is open, the kettle's on (the Yorkshire tea isn't soaking in today), the week is full of possibilities, and I am SO ready to see what this community gets up to over the next seven days. Before you thread your machine, pick up your needle or unroll a single centimetre of fabric, I want to know what's on your table this week. We're doing something a little different from today. This week, we're holding each other accountable. So tell me where you are at: ⟶ What sewing project are you STARTING this week? ⟶ What are you in the middle of and WORKING ON? ⟶ What do you want to COMPLETE before Friday? Drop your answer below, as specific as you like. Not just "a dress" but "the silk organza sleeves that have been staring at me for two weeks" 😄. The more honest and real, the better. We're a community of serious makers, we can handle the truth of the to-do list! I'll be back on Friday to check in and celebrate how far we all got, progress, detours and happy accidents included. —————————————————————————————————— Also… 👀 I have something exciting coming in May. A theme that I think is going to absolutely light this community up, and I genuinely cannot wait to share it with you. Stay close, stay engaged, and keep your eyes on the notice board. The first hint is coming very soon. Happy sewing, Claire Amelia 🪡 Now, tell me what's on your table! ⬇️

📌 WELCOME TO THE STUDIO WALL
This is your moment to shine. ✨ The Studio Wall is the heart of our creative joy, the place where we celebrate everything we make, everything we are dreaming of making & everything in between. No waiting until it's finished. No waiting until it's perfect. This wall belongs to all the sewing you're entwined into. Finished makes you proud. The dress that finally came together after three toiles. The corset that took months & was worth every single stitch. The bridal gown that made someone cry happy tears. The costume that stopped the show. Share it here, you earned this moment. Works in progress keeping you up at night. The half finished bodice pinned to your dress form. The fabric you just cut into with your heart in your mouth. The lining that is giving you grief. Bring it to the wall, we want to see every stage of the journey. Fabric hauls that made your heart sing. We all know the feeling of finding the perfect fabric. The colour that stopped you in your tracks. The silk you couldn't walk away from. The remnant that has no plan yet but had to come home with you. Show us. Mood boards & creative dreams. The collection you are building in your head. The Pinterest board that is becoming something real. The era, the silhouette, the feeling you are chasing. Pin it to the wall and let us dream alongside you. I may show you my costume pinterest feed.. ;-) Studio snapshots that show your world. Your cutting table mid project. Your thread collection. Sewing soft furnishings you’re excited over, oh the joy of filling! The corner of your studio that makes you happy. We want to see where the magic happens. This is a judgement free, joy filled, celebration only space. Every make is welcome here. Every stage is valid. Every creative dream deserves a wall to live on. Come on in, show us what you've got. 🧵 Claire Amelia Founder, The Atelier Hub

@Claire Amelia I make a lot of my own tshirts and either bind or add a band. So I'll probably do that for the neckline and leg holes. I'll add a band to the bikini pants waist. And regular hems on the top and sleeves. Heres my latest T
