If anyone have past experiences or any idea about it so share it here please 🙏

@Will Nemo As a Red Seal Electrician, do you do everything an Electrician would do, or are there any limitations? I currently have Diesel Electrician for locomotives, but equating that into work as Electrician for placement even as an Apprentice is very hard. I have managed to get into the film industry as a Lighting Electrics Tech, but am curious as to what you can do as a Red Seal.

I am in Ontario. The Diesel Electrician credited me with 4000 hours, and I am registered under the Apprenticeship with Ontario. I have great credentials, but no one will hire me. So I struggle with EIPT and getting a day here and there.

Hi I'm Debra. A Diesel Electrician for locomotives. I am currently in the movie indusry as an Apprentice Lighting Technician. I am in Ontario, Canada and looking to acquire the Red Seal Electrician. I really enjoy the area I am in right now, but want the Red Seal to open up more doors for me.

Hi Will, thanks for thee great info. Coincidentally(there are none) the IATSE 873 Union Hall is right beside IBEW in Toronto. I am a regosteted apprentice under IATSE as EIPT (Entertainment Industry Power Technician) plus have credited hours from the rail, plus schooling from the '90's. (Basic & Intermediate). Trouble is next steps moving forward. And getting hired.
