(Acts 4:31) • Signs Accompanying the Word — healing and deliverance confirming the message preached.(Acts 8:6–7) • Discernment of Readiness — sensitivity to the Spirit's leading toward a person prepared to receive (the Ethiopian eunuch pattern). (Acts 8:29–30). • Gathering / Harvest Grace — the capacity to draw a crowd or an individual toward the message without manipulation. (Acts 8:5–6) II. III. THE FUNCTION • Brings increase to the Body from outside its walls; the harvesting office of the fivefold. • Equips and mobilizes the whole congregation to witness, not only the specially gifted. • Hands new believers to the teaching, pastoral, and apostolic offices for establishment and growth. • Confirms the gospel with works that follow the word, after the pattern of Philip's ministry in Samaria. No mentee engages in outreach alone without a partner and without reporting back to the mentor. Converts are always connected to the local house for discipleship — evangelism that does not hand off to discipleship is left undone.
