Many internships say they require experience, but in reality they’re often looking for interest, curiosity, and basic exposure rather than full job-level skills. I’ve worked with students in similar positions, and one thing that really helps is reframing “no experience” into projects, coursework, labs, competitions, volunteering, or even self-initiated learning. Those absolutely count when they’re presented the right way. You might also want to look into freshman/sophomore programs, engineering shadowing opportunities, research assistant roles, or smaller companies, they tend to be more open to learners.
