Find out what's holding you back
How long would that job posting get filled by someone else? How long will that job posting stay open without you getting the role you applied for? If you have the skills, experience, and qualifications but still aren’t getting responses, it doesn’t mean you’re not good enough. It means something in your application isn’t working. This is the right time to find out exactly what’s holding you back. I offer free resume reviews for professionals as a way to give back to the community and help job seekers see what can be improved to boost visibility with recruiters and hiring managers. Comment if interested!!

@Emmanuel Luzginov Hello Emmanuel, You’re definitely not alone, this is a very common situation, especially for students early in their journey. Many internships say they require experience, but in reality they’re often looking for interest, curiosity, and basic exposure rather than full job-level skills. I’ve worked with students in similar positions, and one thing that really helps is reframing “no experience” into projects, coursework, labs, competitions, volunteering, or even self-initiated learning. Those absolutely count when they’re presented the right way. You might also want to look into freshman/sophomore programs, engineering shadowing opportunities, research assistant roles, or smaller companies, they tend to be more open to learners. Also, I’m currently offering a free resume review for students and early-career candidates. If you’d like to take part, I’d be happy to look over your resume and see whether it’s properly tailored for internship roles.

@Mugisha sangwa olivier Ishimwe I’ve worked with many students and early-career candidates to help them translate coursework and personal projects into strong, ATS-friendly resumes and targeted internship applications. I’d be happy to share practical advice on positioning your projects, strengthening your backend profile, and applying more strategically for software engineering internships. If you don’t mind, could you share an active Gmail address so we can connect and discuss this further?
Free Resume Review for all Professionals
In many cases, resumes are filtered out before a human ever sees them. If your resume doesn’t pass the ATS screening, it won’t reach the hiring manager. And even when it does pass ATS, if it doesn’t clearly communicate your value, a hiring manager may quickly move on. The goal isn’t just to apply, it’s to make sure your resume works for both the system and the person reviewing it. I’m currently offering a free resume review and will get back to you promptly with honest feedback on what may be holding your resume back from interviews. If you’d like, you can share your resume via [email protected]
