BAM (Bead Along Monday) on Thursday!
I skipped BAM last week because of the anniversary bead along, but I don't want to wait too long. Some of you new people might be shy about posting your work, but we love seeing what everyone is doing, and I encourage you to post it. The feedback you get will motivate you to keep going. I am in week five of my carousel box. I have finished the bottom and am working on the top.

This is beautiful!
My Protest Art
The White Pantsuit Project. I was fascinated by the posters from the Women’s March 2017 and 2018. This project started as a way to deal with the political climate of that time. It became a piece of thankfulness. It celebrates women and women leaders from the start of the Civil War to Suffrage, Women’s Liberation, today and the future. The piece is made up of Peyote bead weaving, lampworked and flat glass. It was my sanity.

@Jess Rogleff Thank you.
Where do you live?
In an effort to get to know each other, post where you live and something about it. I will pick a random winner on tomorrow's call from the people who posted and they will receive VIP status. I currently live in southeast Alabama in a small town of 4,000 people. It's mostly farm land with corn, cotton and peanuts. Plus a large helicopter base. I love the peace and serenity of living in the country.

Today’s Question-
How long have you been beading? I’ve been beading 9 years. I was inspired by Pinterest. I have always been crafty but never thought I could make jewelry. HAHA! Look at me now! 🤣💕

I hav been beading for over 20 years. First projects were peyote beaded boxes. Never start with the easiest. Then I went to making my own glass Beads to accent my Peyote pieces. Then I really got into making glass beads and forgot the weaving. Then, 10 yrs. ago I got back into bead weaving big time. I call it protest Art.

Will try to add photos when possible.
Who beads when they’re sick?
I’m in the hotel and sickness sucks especially when you’re congested. It’s always seems when you go somewhere you want to be something tries to ruin it.

Got me through my radiation therapy. It was good to be able to concentrate on something positive.

I am a retired nurse. Beading kept me sane. I also lamp work beads and have blown glass in the past. I love beads and I love glass!
