🏔️ Could You Live in the Scottish Highlands ?
I’ve just shared a short video looking at life in Kingussie, a small town in the Scottish Highlands. In the video, we practise evaluating language in English, especially: - On the one hand… - On the other hand… - Overall… - For the right person… 🎥 Watch the video first, then join in below. 💬 Your task:Write 2–3 sentences evaluating Kingussie (or a place you know well). 👉 Try to use: - On the one hand… - On the other hand… If you like, you can also add a photo of a similar place where you live. Looking forward to reading your ideas!

Kingussie looks very interesting, I haven't heard of it until now. On the one hand I think it would be lovely to live in a place where everyone probably knows everyone else, you're likely to be greeted by name at the local coffee shop and post office, and if you can find work it's a very short commute in to the office!! On the other hand, the weather looks cold, and miserable and for the wrong person, could be quite depressing. Overall, I like the idea of living there as I do love small towns, but I think I would miss the sunshine too much!!

Hi I'm Debbie, from Sydney Australia. But originally from South Africa. I'd love to learn about Scottish History, specifically the Vikings (I probably watched too many TV shows and the reality is probably very different 🤣) and about life in Medieval Scotland and England. Ooh and anything about secret societies and esoteric knowledge if that is on the table. Plus I LOVE learning about ancient Egypt. I visited Egypt back in 2005 and was so surprised how small the pyramids and the Sphynx actually are up close. I don't have much of an interest in Current Affairs I'm afraid, too much craziness going on right now. So I usually avoid watching or reading the news. I'm looking forward to learning and sharing experiences with the rest of the group!!
