Some of you may read this and think it's just more toxic positivity, but it is not. What if you imagine that something wonderful what happened in your day. You don't know what it will be. You don't know when it will happen. But what happens if you set up a positive expectancy for the day.But what happens if you set up a positive expectancy for the day? Something in our brain is called the reticular activating system. Basically, it means that when you're looking for something, it will run around and show you examples of that. If you're looking for a particular type of car, you will suddenly see so many of them on the roads that it will surprise you. If, on the other hand, you stub your toe in the morning and decide that there goes the rest of the day it's all going to be downhill from here, you're a little reticular activating system will dutifully show you everything that's going wrong or is broken or has gone sideways. So, each of us gets to choose the outlook. I prefer to lean into something wonderful happening today. And at the end of the day, I can look back and find some wonderful things Today, this gorgeous view of interesting clouds captivated my imagination. It was a little challenging to get a photo because of the position of the sun and not wanting to burn out my phone's camera on the sun! But I managed to get this beautiful shot. Other wonderful things today... Emmi give nuggets kisses. The cats played and had such a wonderful time. I enjoyed crafting and playing with paper. All wonderful things and the day isn't over yet.
