The Power of Small Brave Steps
We often think that change requires a huge leap, a bold decision, or a complete life overhaul. But in reality, most meaningful transformation starts much more quietly, with one small brave step. Small brave steps are the moments where you choose progress over comfort. They might look like having a difficult conversation, setting a boundary, asking for help, applying for an opportunity, or simply admitting to yourself that something needs to change. They don’t always feel dramatic, but they are powerful because they create momentum. Confidence doesn’t usually arrive before action, it grows because of action. Every small step builds trust in yourself, reminding you that you are capable of moving forward, even when the path isn’t fully clear. Flourishing is not about being fearless. It’s about being willing. Willing to try, willing to learn, willing to be uncomfortable for a moment in order to create something better in the long term. Small brave steps don’t just move you forward, they slowly change how you see yourself. And that is where real growth begins. Are you willing to take your first brave step?

The Art of Getting Unstuck
For years, on paper, my life looked exactly how I had once hoped it would. A woman in my middle years. Three decades in the NHS. At the top of my profession. Travelling globally, publishing, speaking, influencing. Living in my dream home by the sea. And yet… I felt stuck. Motivation low. Energy low. Moving day to day on autopilot. I told myself: “Be grateful — you have what most people crave.” But a quiet, nagging voice kept whispering. When I’m older, sitting in my rocking chair… what will I regret? What is that sentence in my head? “I wish I’d been brave enough to….” So there it was. The truth I could no longer ignore. I decided to get unstuck. This is just the beginning of my “unstuck” story. Part of being brave is being visible — sharing my motivations, my missteps, my lessons, and my wins. I’ve given myself one year to experiment, fail, learn, and live differently. To live unstuck. I’d love you to come with me — even if that just means listening in. I’ll be sharing: - honest reflections from the journey - practical tips on starting my own company - what I’m learning (and unlearning) - advice I’ve been given - books, podcasts, and conversations shaping my thinking - one weekly coffee & chat live - simple templates to help you take your first brave step From NHS kitchen worker → senior nurse → Founder & CEO. What’s the worst that can happen? Instead of buying that extra cup of coffee invest in your unstuck potential , make one at home and join me for my weekly live coffee and chat. You just might get unstuck yourself ….

There are so many seasons in life where, from the outside, everything looks “successful” and settled, yet internally you feel stuck, tired, and unsure what the next chapter is meant to be. I’ve learnt that sometimes it isn’t a lack of achievement that causes that feeling, but a need for deeper purpose, connection, and meaning. Over the last year I’ve experienced grief and loss with the passing of my brother, and it’s been a powerful reminder that life can change in an instant. For me, being part of meaningful conversations, building connections, and continuing to grow has helped me feel “unstuck” again. Not because everything is easy, but because purpose gives you something to move towards. I love what you’re doing here. Being visible and sharing the real story takes courage, and I have no doubt it will help others take their first brave step too. I’ll be following along and would love to inspire others just as you do.
