Today we talked about those who've lovingly made us gifts with their hands and how our hands are meant to serve others. Also, there is the gift of "sanctuary" that comes when we are working with our hands, creating in the physical world. Our minds can focus on one thing, instead of many, allowing our bodies to experience a level of peace. ➡️ How will you work with your hands today? ➡️Do you need to find a hobby or craft that will allow you to disconnect from the virtual world? ➡️In what way will you serve others with your hands in the coming days and weeks? Me??? I'm going to clean my house! It sounds trivial, but it's something that allows my mind to rest because the tasks are routine and without a lot of decision-making. ; THEN, I plan to rest this afternoon. It's been a busy week! Deuteronomy 4:39 NIV Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other. In this verse, "the LORD is God" means Yehovah 'elohiym The One True God is the Ruler of all. ➡️ In our everyday language and speech, do we reverence the Name of the LORD? Or do we use His name carelessly? 🙏🏻I grew up hearing phrases like, "good, Lord," when the fact that He is good was not the point. It was an expression, not a praise. 💙Many of us don't realize when we do it. When we acknowledge the Lord in our given situations, circumstances, disappointments, and trials, we are able to lift our focus from being "under" our problems to confess that everything is under His feet. Worries shift, and anxiety lessens when we view life from looking up. What are your thoughts>
