When is the right time to message reps?
Hello everyone! I’ve been reaching out to reps and hiring managers, but unfortunately, I haven’t heard back from anyone yet. I’m wondering if the timing of my messages might be a factor — maybe they’re busy, glance at my DM quickly, and then forget to respond later? I understand that reps often have hectic schedules, so it’s tough to know the best times to reach out. If anyone has advice on the best days or times to message, I’d really appreciate it! I’ve been sending messages Monday through Friday, as I assume most people aren't very active on LinkedIn over the weekend. I’m very interested in a position with Arthrex and have reached out to about seven different people within the company so far, but I haven’t received any responses yet. I’m feeling a bit anxious to connect with someone before the application closes, so any tips or guidance would mean a lot! Some more info: - The people I have messaged have already connected with me. - Some of them haven’t even read the message but are active on LinkedIn - I have been using some of the prompts my student mentor provided and some prompts that the Skool classroom provides

@Alexandra Rodriguez, you’re asking a really great question and you're definitely not alone in feeling this way. Timing can matter, but so can follow-up and message strategy. - Here’s some guidance: - Best times to message: early in the morning or early evening tends to work well. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are usually best because Mondays people are catching up, Fridays they’re checking out for the weekend. - Weekends: you're right that many are less active on LinkedIn over the weekend but some do check it when they have more downtime, so a weekend message is not bad either if you word it casually. - Follow-up: If they haven’t read or replied in 3–5 days, absolutely send a friendly follow-up. - Why they might not reply yet: sales reps and managers are genuinely slammed sometimes. Often they glance at DMs on their phone between cases, client meetings, or surgeries and mean to reply later but forget. Be persistence (with kindness) really helps. - Extra Tip: try engaging with their posts if they’ve shared anything recently.
