This is exactly how you stalk... I mean INVESTIGATE to make sure your date isn't a serial killer.
You meet someone new. Maybe it's a business contact, maybe a Tinder match who claims to be a "CEO/Entrepreneur/Sigma Male." Here's how to quickly verify they won't murder you: 1. Reverse image search their profile photo - Are they actually the person in the pic, or did they steal it from a Romanian fitness influencer? 2. Cross-reference their job claims with LinkedIn - "Regional Sales Manager" could mean anything 3. Check if their social media timelines make sense - If they claim to live in Miami but every geotagged post is from their mom's basement in Ohio... 4. Verify location claims through old posts - Consistency is key (inconsistency is sus) PSA: This is for personal safety, not being a creep. Stalking is terrible - don't be that person. Use these skills responsibly. The same pattern recognition that keeps you safe on dates transfers directly to serious investigations. It's all about spotting inconsistencies and verifying claims. Anyone else have "safety OSINT" tips that don't cross into creepy territory?

Welcome to OSint Academy! Let's start with a challenge.
Hey everyone! Welcome to our community of digital investigators and researchers. Instead of a boring introduction, let's jump right in with something fun: Your first mission: Using only free, publicly available tools, find out: - What year was your favorite restaurant founded? - Who owns the building it's located in? - Has it ever changed names? Drop your findings in the comments below! Don't worry about being perfect - we're all here to learn together. I'll share the techniques I used to research a local business in my area, and we can compare methods. Who's ready to become a digital detective?

Okay, I tried this with Chipotle! It was founded in 1993 in Denver. That can be found on the wiki, let's go a little deeper. Chipotle has 3 different methods for gaining locations. 1. They rent, 2. They do what's called a ground-lease. 3. They own. SEC filings show that they are spending about a half billion a year just on renting real estate. And lastly they have never changed their name.
