I'm looking for your help on naming the foundation. For those that are new, I'm trying to set up a 501c3 foundation that gives donated mums to nominated people. Nominees will be given the opportunity to put their name in the hat for any mum they like as long as they also meet the requirements for it's maker. (Some makers want to keep their donations local or in a specific district. Some may want to support a specific group like foster kids. The maker gets a say.) Then we make the announcement a big event (maybe).. something the winners will be excited about. Anyhow... here are few ideas.... I'm open to more so please get your clever brains moving for me!! MUM DESIGNERS 🎀 RE: 2026 FOSTER MUMS AND GARTERS OUR GOAL IS 100 - TOTAL MUMS & GARTERS Hello Ladies …. In response to the designers who read my entry to Sherry’s Post the other day and showed interest wanting to donate mums for the Foster Kid Mum Donations … Today I spoke to Jocelyn over at Diamond (Mental Health Agency - Here in Houston) • I told her that we wanted to stay with high school kids only (some middle schools don’t allow kids to wear mums during school hours) • Children that are in RTC homes. (Residential Treatment Center ) are normally State Funded - these children are not living with biological parents/family members or state approved parents. (Generally kids that are placed in regular homes will have a foster family to provide for them) We had a few other mum makers that’s had an interest in donating their time, and/or supplies to create mums for these kids. I also requested the list of children by 2026 spring break - first names and the schools, so we can figure out school colors and mascots. I would like this project to happen over our off time .. that way it’s not cutting into the money making season. She’s also gonna send me pictures of what we did last year. 2025 was our 1st year collaborating with Angela Lafferty ( Angela’s Homecoming Mums & More, Jenny D. Catherine ( RDC MUMS) and myself). Apparently it was a HUGE success .. she will locate the pics and email them to me. Of course she will blur out or place an emoji over the child face, just to protect their identity. If this interest you, and you are wanting to donate, I’m currently working on a spreadsheet that will indicate the schools, their colors and the mascots. Hopefully I will have this completed within the next few weeks. Will ask the participating mum makers … when making the mums please use nothing sharp, use sticker letters for names, and if you use business labels please don’t put your contact info on them. ~ REASONING ~ * Sharp objects (trinkets) can be used as weapons.
