Actual Artists?? Oh dude I can't remember names to save my life! But practically all of them are traditional media-focused masterminds!
Where do you find your inspiration?
I'm curious, do you have a "secret" that helps inspire you to get into the creative mood? Or are you in that mood all of the time? I find that it ebbs and flows depending on the day. My "secret" to get inspired starts with a walk. Often it's on a hike or exploring a new town. However, I will remove my glasses so everything gets a little blurry. Often times I'll see something in the distance and I won't be able to make it out completely so I create an image in my mind what I think it might be and as I get closer to the object it changes ever so slightly until it comes into a more clear image. Usually somewhere between what I see and what it is becomes an idea for a sculpture. Weird, right?

Oooh I DEFINITELY feel the "ebb and flow" thing, that is what it does most times as of late. I will say that when I do have the mood to draw, it practically always stems from nature and animal-related things! I'm a giant nature fanatic, and that absolutely shows through my art these days~

Hey, glad to hear you're still kicking! I've also got a nice big project I'm working on in the background, but similar to you, am not entirely ready to reveal it, yet. I will say though, that it combines two of the things I love to do and know I'm good at: Drawing & Writing~
Working on my first bronze sculpture. "Let go"
"Let Go" We carry too through life and it makes the journey more difficult. Let go to lighten the load and live more freely. I used a combination of clay, 3D printing, Corten steel and manilla rope. The man and the ball will be bronze. Looking forward to seeing the result.

My Wild & Weary Business Plan - Opinions Wanted!
(I only somewhat apologize for the title pun — I’m wired for sound today… You’ll only get it after reading the post!) Hey all! Long-time lurker turned first-time poster here. I’ve been an artist for over a decade — honestly, since middle school, and I’m 30 now. Professionally, I’ve been on-and-off for about four years leading up to 2024–2025. Life happened, then COVID happened, then life happened again… and somewhere along the way, I stopped drawing. But recently, I found a new creative outlet: writing. It started with journaling, then fanfiction (yes, I can hear the gasps already), and now I’m actively working on a book. My love for drawing hasn’t disappeared — it’s just quieter. I still doodle, imagine, and dream of pieces I’ll eventually create. Here’s where I’m at: I want to combine my love of writing and art into something unique. Ideally, I’d like it to grow into a modest side-income, but more importantly, I want it to feel authentic. My creative niches overlap nicely: - Animals & Nature - Mental Health & Disability Advocacy - The Occasional Personal Storytime My art is mostly traditional — colored pencils, pens, markers, pastel pencils, and even chalk. I’ve used digital before, but my heart belongs to the tactile feel of pencils and paper. Stylistically, I love drawing animals framed with natural, floral elements, almost like borders. And every piece has at least one rainbow detail — whether it’s the animal itself, fruit, or flowers, there’s always a rainbow touch. I just love rainbows~ The challenge? I’m a serial flip-flopper. I can’t decide whether to lean into writing or art, and I don’t want to abandon either. So I’m hoping to find ways to combine them — maybe through stories paired with illustrations, or advocacy projects that use both words and images. And yes, the name of my business will be "The Wild & The Weary." The vision is to merge the magic of animals and nature with mental health themes, while also highlighting conservation. Every animal I draw will be an endangered species, which is where the advocacy part comes in.

@Shamsu Nowfi Thanks, Shamsu! I'm not sure I'm confident enough to create workshops, but little short-story-esk images paired with text does sound like a neat idea...! I'm researching it as I go to try and find the perfect mix, but I don't want to go for children's books or anything similar. I want to be able to make it, put it up online, and them sell/ship it with minimal "third-party" intrusions. I don't use Zine, but I have experience with Etsy...! However, I now use Ko-fi due to the fact that they have no fees of their own, it's just third-party fees (because of course it is.) Therapy Journals sound like a nice touch, but I'm not sure how I could sell them WITH the artwork included other than putting it on the cover.
