i'd like to think homelabs are here to stay, but the footprint in terms of ram and storage will be greatly reduced or at least not increased.. i'm excited to see what people do with less! constraints can be a great motivator!

@Brandon Lee i kinda went overboard and loaded up on systems over the christmas break, so i'm probably bucking the trend, but my homelab is growing.. especially with the number of minipcs i have now for bare metal talos linux installs.

i think a focus on observability will continue, but being able to take action right from the manager is key, at least in my opinion.

i saw that you had longhorn as one of the options.. but you didn't detail why longhorn wasn't a good fit.. just curious as to the reasons.

yeah i'm using longhorn for shared storage and it seems to be running fine.
