API keys. I was doing the newsletter lesson and when I went to do the API for perplexity it wanted me to buy $50 of credits. Is that expected? Do I need to spend extra money to do this?

Has anyone ever had issues with logging into Claude in VSC? I can't seem to find the place to sign in to my claude account. The login screen shows up for 1 sec and then disappears. Any help would be appreciated. thanks
