The Comfort Zone
Feels safe in here. Nothing growing either, but very comfortable. Same job. Same habits. Same ceiling. Redecorated recently. Still a cage. Growth lives exactly one step outside the door. Most people never open it. Lesson: Comfort is a lovely place to visit. Terrible place to live.

Hey Ross, this post reminded me of this: "Go to the ant, you sluggard; / Consider its ways, and be wise, Which, having no chief, / Officer, or ruler, Prepares its food in summer / And gathers its sustenance in the harvest. How long, sluggard, will you lie there? / When will you arise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, / A little folding of the hands to rest, And your poverty will come upon you like a robber, / And your want, like an armed man." (Proverbs 6:6-11) Recovery Version
The Hot Tip
He got it from a guy. Who got it from a guy. By the time it reached you, it was already priced in. Hot tips travel fast, like light speed or quantum entanglement. Losses travel faster. The only person who got rich off that tip? The first guy. Not you. Lesson: If everyone's heard it, the trade's already over.

That’s so true. I’ve been on the wrong side of that trade more times than I would like to admit. Live and learn!
