I was bored and did the thing
Went to a Dallas Stars game tonight and got there pretty early. The team hadn’t even come out for warmups yet, so I figured, why not see if I could get Jess into a Stars game? Since I’ve already got her based in Dallas, it made sense. I took a quick picture from my seat down by the glass. There were a bunch of people standing around, so I figured I’d just replace one of them with Jess. I went online, found a picture of a girl wearing some Stars gear that looked like something Jess would actually wear, and used that to make a character sheet. Honestly, that was just easier than trying to mess around with the mannequin and build an outfit from scratch, especially since the Wi-Fi was pretty spotty. Then I gave it a really simple prompt. Basically, put Jess down by the glass posing for a picture. As I was thinking about it, I figured it’d be funny to have a hockey player skate by and smack the glass to scare the shit out of her. Ran a few versions and got some pretty different results. But the whole point was really just to see what it was like using ShortPulse on my phone while sitting at a hockey game. And it works! It’s actually pretty interesting what you can do with it. The interface takes a little getting used to, though. You can’t really see everything at once, so you’re scrolling around trying to get to your reference grid. Then, when you’re ready to prompt, you pretty much have to close everything down so you can actually see what you’re typing. And if you don’t tap the reference grid just right, it’ll kick you back to the home screen and you have to start over. That happened a few times. So there’s definitely some fumbling around involved, but I was just messing around anyway. I uploaded all the assets I used so you can see how I put it together. The video is a bit long but you can scroll through it to see how painful this is. I’m not completely sold on the videos themselves. I probably could’ve gotten better results with some more thoughtful prompting and using the chat to work through the shots. But that wasn’t really the point.

Nicely done!
🎬 ONE OF THE WAYS I’VE BEEN USING SHORTPULSE 🎬
Today on the call, Kirk asked everyone to share more of what we’re actually using ShortPulse for. So I figured I’d show one of the projects I’ve been playing with. And this one has gotten kinda ridiculous. 😂 It started with a simple idea: What if there was a digital marketing agency that felt a little like The Office? Different employees. Different departments. Ridiculous client conversations. Business owners just trying to figure out what the hell is going on. So I started building The Agency. I created the SEO manager. The content manager. The social media manager. Developers. Account managers. Salespeople. Paid search. Reporting. The whole bloated digital marketing org chart. 😂 And every one of them is now saved as a character inside ShortPulse. Then I needed clients. So I started creating business-owner character sheets too. Roofers. HVAC owners. Electricians. Landscapers. Remodelers. Garage-door companies. Each one has a business, personality, look, background, things they care about, things that piss them off, etc. So now when I come up with a new skit, I’m not really “creating characters” anymore. I’m casting an episode. And that’s where this has gotten really useful for me. 🤖 THE ACTUAL WORKFLOW 🤖 Most of my day right now involves building other stuff with AI. I might have Claude working on something that takes a while. And when Claude is cooking, instead of just sitting there watching it work, I’ll jump over to ChatGPT. I’ll have some stupid idea like: “What if a roofer asks the agency to change one picture on his website…and somehow it becomes a $300 development project?” That’s usually about as developed as the idea is. 😂 Then I kick it back and forth with ChatGPT for maybe 10 minutes. Who should be in this one? Which Agency employee makes sense? Which business owner should we use? How ridiculous should the conversation get? What’s the punchline? What does Tally say at the end? Once we have it, ChatGPT writes the ShortPulse production prompt around the characters I already have saved.

That's genius, love the idea of creating a cast so you can have short episodes. Really great.
Faaaaaaaaaaaaaahk!...
And my subscription resets on the 13th. Sigh...

Hi, I'm Scotty. Released from federal prison in 2021
The success stories are everywhere. Young guys driving Lambos on TikTok. Influencers who film themselves making a sandwich and get 10 million views. For some of us, however, it doesn't come easy. I've been internet marketing since 2011. Like many of you, all I ever wanted was to be "free". To "live life on my own terms". The only problem... Well, I was not very good at it. I was living in Las Vegas at the time and was making no money online, so I found a job on Craigslist doing phone sales. It was miserable, but I earned just enough to survive. I worked as hard as I could. I stayed up late reading sales books every night. Zig Ziglar, Dale Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, you know... all the classics. Those books became my bible. I practiced every day. Slowly, I started getting better. But... Turns out, the company I worked for was run by a group of folks with... Shall we say "questionable business practices". When I started to notice the red flags, I considered quitting, buuuut I didn't. I was finally starting to get good at sales. That was a big mistake. As I turned a blind eye, I also became complicit. The FBI raided that company in 2013, but they weren't after me. Afterall, I was just an employee... I walked out of there, and decided I would never work for a place like that again. I moved back to Reno and decided it was time to go all in on myself. I had my first success online in 2014 when I started an ecommerce business in the action sports niche. I used Instagram automation to drive sales. From there, I developed other businesses too. It was going well. I focused on social media, paid ads, automation, messenger bots, optimizing my sales funnels, and much more. I got good at it. All my dreams were finally coming true... Then, in 2016 there was a knock on the door. Next thing I knew, I was being interrogated by the FBI. Turns out, what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas... They were building a case on the Vegas fraudsters the whole time. I was indicted as a co-conspirator. You can see the full prison story here:

Dude! What a story, thanks for sharing. Real stuff. How was prison? I used to want to try a stretch, but I don't think I'd actually like it. I just thought it would be a good opportunity to have no responsibilities, unplug and get like really fit, but maybe the tradeoffs not so good.
