Shirt Collar Shrinking 🌀
Hello gentlemen, I recently watched a video from Brock McGoff where he suggested the idea that slightly oversized shirt collars can be tailored to fit closer to the neck but have not yet been able to find more information on the subject. I have seen videos of people placing their shirt collar into boiling water and drying the shirt at maximum heat to shrink the collar, but have not found how shirt collars can be adjusted by tailoring. Do you have any suggestions for me if I wish to adjust my shirt collar to become smaller? Video by Mr Brock McGoff: https://youtu.be/5eSfqI8qZUI?si=8WqqCIGMndoZyuPw
Outfit Critique
This photo I have my shirt tucked in with shirt stays. I went to my friends church, after that went to my dads house after for grilling and cigars when he took this photo. The shirt is tailored but I would like some feedback about how the shirt looks. I think this photo looks better than previous photos I have posted but I can’t quantify why I feel that way.

I think the shoulders of the shirt is slightly wide and the sleeves a bit long

I will also opt for a closer fitting shirt collar
1890s vibe
Just got this tweed blazer for free at a thrift store, I’ve been looking for something like this for a while now and finally found one! I’m shooting for that 1890s to 1920s look. But I feel like I added why to many brown colors, do you gents think that it’s to many variations of brown?

Duffel Coat Fit & Stiffness
Hello Gentlemen, I have come across a duffel coat and would like to understand whether it fits. I did two tests for its fit. The first test, I wore it on its own over an OCBD shirt and it felt snug on me, like a great fit, but when I tried moving me arms, I felt a bit constricted, due to the heaviness of the wool in the coat. In the second test, I wore it over a suit jacket. When I stood still, I did not feel any problems. But once I started moving my arms, I felt constricted once again due to the heaviness of the coat. The coat fit overall is looser than a suit jacket (so it can be layered on top of a suit jacket), 1 inch wider at the shoulders, a couple inches wider at the chest, and the sleeve length covers the wrist and is above the pinch of the hand. Is this constriction of movement normal for this coat? Is it something that will loosen up with repeated wears? I found the coat in a thrift store so may have already been worn for a long time, so this may not be the case. Thank you for reading my message!

I believe the wool can be broken in with repeated wears maybe it will become less stiff or alternatively I will become used to it after a few winters

@Brian McGuire yes I have an appreciation for the duffle coat too! You duffel coat sounds nice! A statement piece. Do you think that the wool fabric can be broken in with time? I have seen online that some people recommend washing it by hand to loosen the fabric up
Bow Ties on Short Sleeved Shirts
Hello Gentlemen! I understand that ties with short sleeved shirts are a style faux pas, but what do you think about a bow tie with a shirt sleeved shirt?

@Dr. Jason Cole understood I am concerned about the high temperatures of summer, I normally wear it with a blazer on top so people don't know I have short sleeved shirt on
