How 2 Simple Steps Changed My Business
A few months ago, I was stuck in that cycle a lot of people know… Learning, planning, tweaking things but not really seeing results. No consistent clients. No real momentum. Then I stopped overcomplicating it and focused on just two simple steps: 1. I made a clear, simple offer No fluff. Just: what I do, who it’s for, and the result. 2. I reached out directly to real people Not posting and hoping. Actually messaging people who fit. That’s it. Within the first couple of weeks: - Conversations started happening - People were asking real questions - And I landed my first few clients Nothing crazy or overnight success… but it was the first time things felt predictable. The biggest shift? I stopped “preparing to build” and actually started doing the work that brings results. Now I’m just repeating those same two steps, improving each time. Lesson: You don’t need 10 strategies. You need 1–2 simple actions done consistently.

One Small Step That Actually Grew My Business
Not gonna lie… a few months ago I was stuck. I had ideas, I was learning, watching videos, planning things out but nothing was really moving. No consistent clients, no real growth. Then I tried something simple. Instead of overthinking everything, I just reached out to a few people directly with a clear, simple offer. No long explanations, no complicated pitch just what I could help with and how. That was it. Within a couple of days: - A few people replied - Real conversations started - And I landed my first paying client Nothing crazy changed overnight, but it finally felt like things were moving in the right direction. The biggest lesson for me: You don’t need a perfect plan you just need one real action that connects you to real people. Since then, I’ve just been repeating that same step, improving as I go. Still learning, still building but now it actually feels real.

Example: $300 for tools, $1,000 for marketing, etc.) 💰 Revenue Potential: (What can someone realistically make — per job, per month, or per client?) 🚀 First 3 Steps: 1. 2. 3. 🧭 Extra Tips (Optional): (Any insights, tools, or strategies that could make it easier to start or scale.) Glad to be here this looks like a great place to build something real.
Stop Asking “Would You Buy This?” — Run a 15-Minute Validation Test Instead
Most new business ideas get bad feedback because the question is bad. “Would you buy this?” invites polite answers, not useful ones. A better move: validate with commitment, not compliments. Pick one narrow problem your ideal customer has. Then write a simple message offering a specific outcome, a rough price range, and a clear next step. Example: “I’m helping local service businesses get 10 qualified leads in 30 days without paid ads. I’m opening 3 pilot spots this month. Want details?” Now send it directly to 10 people who fit the market. What matters is not who says “sounds cool.” What matters is who asks a real follow-up question, wants pricing, or asks how soon you can start. That’s signal. Silence, vague praise, and generic encouragement are noise. Implementation step for today: Write one 2-sentence pilot offer and send it to 10 real prospects before the day ends. What’s one offer or business idea you could test this week with direct outreach instead of more planning? If you want a simple framework for turning rough skills into clear, testable offers, there are a few useful build-and-launch resources at BuiltByTheFoot.com

@Mackenzie Mariah That is crazy, this did not come from some big pivot or overnight idea. the business really started growing after I focused on just two things: Short from video editing that what i used to tell audience what product is showing the aha moment of your product building a clean Webflow site [not even pithing it hard] trust sales tool tho That is it No aggressive selling. No complicated funnels. just improving the offer, showing up consistentiy, and letting the word speak. Momentum came from keeping it simple and sticking with what was working. if you are overcomplicating thing right now, this is your reminder it does not hav to be that way curios what way are you currently using to scale your own business if you want us to conn to share valuable ideals together i would like to hear your experience there too
