Grinder v shot blaster…
Hello all, how’s it going? Just a quick question regarding equipment. Does anyone have any opinions on grinder v shot blaster to prep the floor?

unless its polished concrete there is no need for a shot blaster
Removal of Existing Flake Floor
What’s the best way to go about it? I know PCDs are probably the easiest way but wondering if there is any steps I need to take before grinding with PCDs?

using diamond bits get hot and melt the epoxy and then your vacuum filters will get screwed up. If you have never replaced vacuum filters, they are EXPENSIVE. Always use PCD bits.
Recruiting
How We Consistently Find Rock-Star Employees (Even When We’re Not Hiring) Hiring isn’t a once-a-year thing—it’s a year-round strategy. If we come across a rock star, we hire them, even if it means upgrading a B+ player on our team. Here’s how we keep a steady stream of top talent coming in: ✅ We Make the Job Look Fun – Our Indeed postings (thanks to a format Josh created) focus on culture, growth, and excitement—NOT job requirements. The right people will see themselves in the opportunity. ✅ We Tap Into Local Networks – We send job postings to 30+ large churches in our area, asking them to share with their congregations. ✅ We Get Creative With College Recruiting – We post full-page job flyers above every urinal in classroom buildings. If you’re standing there, you’re reading it! ✅ We Leverage Our Customers – We’ve emailed our 6,400-person customer list asking for referrals. Our customers know our values and can help us find like-minded people. ✅ We Carry “You Impressed Me” Cards – Every manager has cards with a QR code linking to our application page. When we see someone delivering great service—whether it’s a grocery bagger, a tire shop worker, or a Panera employee—we hand them a card and invite them to apply. ✅ We Use Social Media to Drive Applications – Every job post directs people to our application page at AllWashed.com. ✅ We Don’t Just Wait for Applicants to Come to Us – We actively scout talent in the real world. The best hires aren’t always looking for a job, but they’ll make a move if the right opportunity comes their way. Recruiting isn’t just about filling an opening—it’s about building a winning team. If we're still only hiring when we're desperate, you’re missing out on top talent. How do you all recruit? Always looking for new ideas! 🔥👇

Logos In Epoxy!
There are a couple videos online for doing transfer paper logos for like companies or sports teams into epoxy but very little instruction on best practices or even where do you get/make the logos? Or how would you price/quote this out? Would be a nice to know if anyone here has experience here? I have been asked to do this but usually turn clients down because Ive never done it before. Thanks in advance!

We have done a few. They are very hard to get right. After the first one which was a disaster we now use the company that wraps our trucks for us. Even they have a hard time. We had them to a Harley logo on a garage floor. The logo has to be on a special type of vinyl and you use a heat gun that goes to 1,000 degrees to make it adear. They usually bring 4 copies of the logo as they often can melt. My cost is $300 per logo and I sell it for $500.

Procrastination is the language of the poor. I heard this today from a guest speaker on my business coach's podcast, Culureproof.

I’ve been an entrepreneur since age 8 when I’d find golf balls near a course and sell them to golfers. I now own 3 home service companies.
