No.1 focus is to regain a semblance control. It’s an incredibly hectic period with lots of deals moving at the same time, lots of travel and I seem to have lost my handle on things and the plates are spinning out of control. So the focus this week is to get back on top of things. One step at a time, one task at a time and start steering the boat again instead of feeling like I’m just being taken any which way by the current.

@Will Walker there is no wrong answer mate. You realistically know where you’re stuck and what you can do about it. It might be uncomfortable to wait or to do nothing but take your ego out of it and take yourself out of the pressure you are putting yourself under. Look at it objectively and take a deep breath (and if you can distract yourself with something and it helps, then do so)

Hi all, I’m David and I am dreamer first and foremost … everything else feeds off of that. I’m based in the UAE (and have been for the last 11 years). For work I advise on deals (my marketing team want me to socialise the term “Commercial Architecture”). I run an advisory company that structures and executes on M&A transactions, joint venture partnerships and helps businesses transform existing business verticals or create new ones. We also help businesses (especially clunky government owned ones) execute on projects (finding partners to get projects off the ground, or generally project manage the execution of projects managing clients and all their stakeholders to get stuff moving to completion). A reformed lawyer, I have seen the light and moved away from the pure practice of law to the delivery of deals and projects on the impact side (not just the documents, but how deals come to life in real life and how what’s on paper gets implemented in practice to make people money). GrowthOS is an essential part of my journey of personal growth. Moving away from the established boxes that I was raised in and which defined how I lived my life, and into a situation that is a lot more uncertain but more true to my personal values and principles. I hope to gain a lot of value from the insights and experiences of my peers and hopefully contribute some value in return.
