Macro photography in my garden
I think it has been a good year for insects. Even cars have evidence of flies splattered on the front of many vehicles. Not something I have seen for quite a few years. I have enjoyed getting to grips with my macro gear OM1,2 and 90mm macro to record what I can see in my garden. Macro techniques take some practice to get right and it is definitely a challenge to record such small creatures.

Although it is a challenge getting close views of very small creatures is I think fun. It is amazing just what there is to photograph in any garden. This is a red spider mite which is at the most only 2mm across. It is a single shot as they wouldn’t stay still.

@Robert Lehman I have found it really good. High quality lenses help many available on the used market. With today’s upscaling software I cannot see any downsides. For macro it is superb synchronous flash for stacking makes macro photography so much easier.
