@Alchemystic Anomalist it’s not *not* a lot of money. I’d legitimately only need 15 people to transition to skool full time. I know ‘only 15’ is easier said than done, but still. I know it’s possible.

Well.. start to transition anyway haha. If I could do half my full time income that doesn’t seem like a completely unreasonable time to work towards a complete transition. When was that tipping point for you (either in MRR or % of previous salary)?

@Corinna Smith I am in it but I haven’t done any courses. I will check it out. Fair callout even if you are kidding, I didn’t even consider that to be honest 😅 It’s not impressive to me that someone could sell 1M of stuff for 1M. Like imagine I bought a car for 1M (on a loan, even) and then sold it tomorrow for 1M. Yay! I have a million dollars in sales! I did the same thing just never had the 1M up front so I did it 500 and a thousand bucks at a time, but still, not impressive. I just said it to mean, it’s not that I just flat out don’t know how to sell, I just don’t know how to sell something where the person doesn’t get anything at the end (and I realize that’s not the right way to think about it, because they do, of course; I solve people’s problems, that’s literally what I’m paid to do at my day job, and no one is physically left with anything except their problem solved.. but that’s valuable., just not in a way I’ve ever had to do B2C sales with.

@Susan Goodman I’m not saying you’re not right; you probably are, but I do think you’re leaving ethics out of the equation. I don’t own a second house that I rent out because it’s unethical to directly reduce the available supply of housing, inherently driving up prices to the very people you’re renting to. It’s a conflict of interest. It has nothing to do with it being free (money), it’s about it being free (speech) - available, accessible, unobstructed. I’m not selling something that costs me money for each additional person I sell it to. To me, that would be like making a public park (presumably someone paid for the creation of the stuff I have by the time it exists, and they did) and then charging admission for everyone who shows up after.
