Hey everyone! My name is Dave, but I go by Mr. J. I’m a certified health and physical education teacher turned children’s content creator. I have a YouTube channel, Hey! It’s Mr. J!, where I make videos for kids that teach fitness, movement and social emotional learning. I’ll be honest I’m currently going through a tough time in life finically and mentally and everything came to head when my girlfriend of 5 years broke up with me. Though it was very difficult for me, it drove me to my purpose which is helping kids live healthy and happy lives. I recently made a book about my break up. It’s called Mr. J and the Tower that Fell. It’s my breakup story told in metaphor, simple enough for children to learn resiliency and starting over, layered with emotions and accountability for grown ups to understand.
