ChatGPT Chrome Extension
I haven't used the ChatGPT browser extension before. But I was having ChatGPT help me with my resume and LinkedIn profile today and it told me to switch to ChatGPT Work and install the browser extension in Chrome. So I did. It then took over my browser and started making all the changes. The whole LinkedIn interface has changed and was giving me a headache. This was a huge time saver! I haven't seen anyone talking about it before so I thought I would share my experience!

@Jason Hagen The extensions sure are easier to use that my old CDP(debug) mode method of having AI take over the Chrome browser to automate website routines. Seems all of the models are adding features so fast that working on a harness/operating system seems futile because whatever I create is obsolete in 6 months or less! :( I thought I was lightyears ahead and turns out half a year later all the models have far more features than I ever created. But yes... not only chatgpt but also claude has a chrome extension.. both are loaded on most of my computers. both are far better than copilot by microsoft in case you use the other browser
Claude Certified Architect
Passed! Got to say there is an emphasis on escalation to human in this exam. The Anthropic agents definitely dropped the ball took 10 days for a human response.

@Jay Kimelman Thats awesome! Nothing stopping you from killing it out there now ;)
How do I setup Claude to access GitHub
I am trying to get Claude to access my GitHub repo and fix some code in there but everything I try, it comes back and says it doesn't have access to my repo. I asked Claude and it was like hit the + button and add the files. When I do that, it gives me a link to the repo, but Claude says that isn't valid. Can I do this in the Claude desktop app, or do I have to do this Terminal?

@Jason Hagen I wish I was a "fly on the wall" to watch you as you come to realize the power of claude code and frankly today any of the Coding portions of gpt, gemini, grok etc. I still remember the WOW! moment that it dawned on me what was possible when I ventured out of chat mode into coding... and then into CLI. Today there is very little reason to ever go to CLI because desktop AI is becoming truly powerful. My highest recommendation is have your online code AI help you download the desktop and start using desktop UI from now on. You joined the right group - these guys in here are truly gifted at actually creating real sellable apps and services. @Stephen G. Pope is a master with decades of real development and is donating his time by doing lives weekly and you will be well served here - welcome to the brave new world!

@Jason Hagen you just need to study this forum ALOT. You will need to learn to use the token hogs only for planning then swap to a lesser token saving model to actually implement and you can always use Fable to review what was done. Also if you have gpt or any other subscriptions even cheap ones - tell your claude code what you have and tell it to help you manage your token usage for each time period. For example, if you have a cheap chatgpt sub you want to use all of it you can each period to save your claude for higher thinking. Also alot of youtube and online will tell you these powerful teams of agents to do things - and its truly great WHEN you actually need it, but will blow thru tokens like mad. Remember your Claude itself is a powerful tool and tell it to list you ways to save tokens and to improve your setup files
What's everybody building with?
For the past month, I've been switching between Fable and GPT Sol 5.6 medium for implementation and planning. Both Fable and Sol are great for planning. Sol is rock solid for implementing, with its attention to detail and price. Outside of those two, what other models are you having success with?

@Rodney Manor I use Opus 5 as my main mostly because its just good all around. I use Fable 5 mainly to plan any major development then I pass it off to Opus or even a lesser agent and loop it using Gpt Sol 5.6 medium to judge that it is completed. Sometimes I skip GPT SOL or even use it to do an entire project - I have sol 5.6 or opus 5 convene a council of agents and loop it to get a better completion. Models continue to improve so fast I even use Grok 4.5 and play around with Gemini a bit. Each model has its own strong suits so it just depends - Fable is irritating that about 50% of my requests it downgrades anyway so I usually just use Opus 5 which has been very strong

@Stephen G. Pope LOL ! I agree so much lately...like what happened to my trust Opus from the past! It was lightyears ahead and now I just dont like the personality nor the incessant crap it does and says. I cannot ask a simple task without it giving me an encyclopedia of junk to read thru - exhausting. I have also been leaning more heavily on SOL and even experimenting alot with Grok 4.5 and even Gemini....all of them are better than anything we had just 3 months ago.
Fable 5
I assume its been kinda quiet simply because everyone is too busy using Fable to fix and debug all their apps and simply kill every research idea request. I am truly amazed at how good Fable really is!

Fable is an extraordinary model and capable of very complex debugging and problem solving mostly autonomous. I have not enjoyed spending thousands over my subscription but its been worth it. I was able to revamp all my operating system files and make them leaner and more functional, Fable corrected hooks that went off too often with unintended consequences, Fable found redundancies in multiple markdowns and is a master at reducing memory and thus tokens or atleast informing. I found it could complete a project and make a website for the app at the same time and do a dang good job. My favorite technique is force Fable to grill you with interview questions before every plan. Then make Fable tell you when its time to handoff to Sonnet 5 for completion. I make Fable journal and commit for next session before resetting/compacting then swap to Sonnet for completion and finally after Sonnet is done one last journal and commit and I swap back to Fable to check all of Sonnets work. Yes yall probably have a better system but this worked for me and I am loving it
