Hi, I’m Darren from Australia. I’ve been running for about 28 years now. Everything from 3000m on the track through to ultra marathons. I struggled with high hamstring tendinopathy on and off for over 20 years, but it’s finally settled now. These days I really enjoy parkruns, but I still love my long Sunday runs. Had a bit of a setback last week with a fall that resulted in a dislocated shoulder… so at the moment walking is my new sport.

Yeah I’ve always really liked the half marathon distance. It’s challenging enough but you can recover pretty quickly from it as well. I don’t really have a bucket list race these days, but I’d love to go back and do the Northburn 100 miler again over in Cromwell, New Zealand. I did that one back in 2016 and it was an awesome experience.
