Monday Motivation: What you have is a path problem...
You're not stuck at learning guitar because you're not good enough, you're stuck because you haven't had the right path moving forward. It's not a talent problem, It's a clear path problem. It's not just that you're stuck on guitar. It's that being stuck on guitar is one more piece of evidence for a story you've been carrying for years — the story that you're just not good enough. Not disciplined enough. Not talented enough. You come home exhausted after a long hard day, pick up the guitar for ten minutes, go nowhere, and put it back down. And that tiny moment confirms everything you already feared: that you're someone who starts things and never finishes them. Someone who wants things but never gets them. Someone who will always be almost — but never actually — there. But here's the truth you haven't heard yet: You're not stuck at guitar because you're not good enough. You ARE good enough. You always were. You're stuck because nobody ever gave you a clear path forward. You've been blaming yourself — your talent, your time, your energy after a long hard day — for a problem that was never yours to carry. It's not a talent problem. It's a clear path problem. And that changes everything. Who needed to hear that today?"

Quick Question - CAGED content coming…?!
Quick question for the guitarists in here — and I genuinely want your input on this 🎸 I’ve been planning on creating more free content on YouTube lately — specifically around the CAGED system, pentatonic scales, and how they connect to real music you actually want to play. Before I go deeper into what I build next, I want to know what would actually help YOU the most right now. Here’s what I’m considering: A) More free YouTube videos — deeper dives into CAGED, pentatonic scales, and how to apply them to real songs across rock, blues, and jazz. B) A free visual Fretboard Map — a printable guide showing how the 5 CAGED positions connect across your entire neck. C) A free lesson built around a song you already know — where I walk through CAGED in a real musical context (think Hendrix, classic rock, blues). D) Something else entirely — tell me what you actually need right now. And one more thing — depending on the response here, I’ve also been thinking about putting together some kind of 5 Day CAGED method challenge around this. Nothing set in stone yet, but if that’s something you’d want to be part of, let me know in the comments too. If there’s enough interest, I want to move on this quickly. Your feedback today genuinely shapes what happens next. Drop your answer below — I read every reply personally.

I want to hear YOUR story... 🎸...
I want to hear YOUR story... 🎸 We all have one. That moment where something sparked inside of you and you thought "I want to play guitar..." Maybe it was watching someone play at a concert and thinking "that could be me..." Maybe it was a song that hit you so deep you just had to learn how to play it. Maybe it was a dream you had as a kid that life just kind of... got in the way of... For me it was when I first saw Jimi Hendrix play guitar on TV — and that feeling never really went away, no matter how much life tried to crowd it out... watching him made me feel like "yeah I want to do that!!" So here's my question for you today, and I genuinely want to know: 👉 What was the moment that made you want to pick up a guitar? Drop it in the comments below — doesn't matter if it was last year or 30 years ago. There's no wrong answer here, just your story. And trust me, someone else in this community needs to hear it... 🎯

My inspiration was 80’s heavy metal. Quiet Riot was the first. Then Ratt and then my favorite, Twisted Sister. The guitarists just looked so kool. It was amazing. Then I heard Metallica and Megadeth. That was the game changer. A bit later I made friends with a guy that introduced me to classical metal fusion. Bro, that is next level. How could I not want to do that.
