An atheist is walking through the woods when a bear suddenly appears right in front of him. Time immediately stops, and God appears. “You’ve spent your whole life not believing in me,” God says. “I’m going to give you one last chance. Believe in me, and I’ll stop the bear. Time will continue.” The man says, “Nah, I’m okay. There’s so much going on in the world that doesn’t make sense. So much evil. It’s really hard to believe in you. Why don’t you make the bear a Christian? Then he’ll become kind and gentle and leave me alone.” God says, “Okay. We’ll do it your way.” Time resumes. The bear drops to his knees and begins to pray: “Father, thank you for this meal I’m about to receive…” (his joke ... I think joke ... not mine)
