Favourite Horse Movie or TV show?
Does anyone else remember a TV show called ‘Sebastian and the Horses’? Later versions were called ‘Belle, Sebastian and the Horses’ No? Just me showing my age 🤣 My first memory of a horsey TV show was Mr Ed - many, many moons ago - before Sebastian 😊 I loved Black Beauty too - who didn’t? 😊 National Velvet 😊 International Velvet 😊 The Black Stallion 😊 Flicka Not a huge fan of The Horse Whisperer - the book was much better - and,, although not exactly about a horse, Neverending Story always makes me sad 😢 So … what else can you add to the list? Recommendations welcome 😊🐴

Horses or AI?
I’m a big fan of AI for help with admin-type tasks but it’s never going to come close to what a horse can provide 😊 AI processes information. 🐴 A horse feels information. An AI can help you think differently. 🐴 A horse helps you be different AI responds to what you say. 🐴 A horse responds to who you are. One is trained on data. The other is tuned to truth. And here’s the kicker… AI can simulate connection. You can’t fake that with a horse - Not for a second. The real magic isn’t choosing one over the other… It’s knowing when you need information …and when you need real presence. QUESTION Right now… do you need more information or more connection?

@Eileen Bennett My landlord won't let me have even domestic animals. It's ok for my farm hands dog to 'visit' but I can't have one of my own. Thankfully they are here a lot, even in winter to help out. Still not the same though. I REALLY miss horses. Haven't had one since I was a teenager.
What is 'Perfect'?
My take on 'perfect' is that it's a myth fed to us by outside influences with an agenda to keep us looking outside ourselves for answers. Of course perfection exists - but is temporary. That perfect thing - 👉 The bed you carefully prepared for your horse 👉 The meal you poured love into. 👉 The going out look you spent hours getting just right is no longer perfect as soon as it fulfils its purpose. Advertising would love us to believe that we can reach perfection if only we we look, smell, dress or behave in a certain way. The antidote for this relentless pressure from businesses invested in promoting insecurity is to spend time with animals and/or in nature. That's where we are fully accepted for who we are. That's where the pressure to be, do or have anything doesn't exist! And that's where we get a sense of authentic perfection 💓

We are all imperfect so why strive for something we can never attain. Who's to say this person or that persons idea of perfection is even correct. I stopped thinking others should be and striving to be many years ago. It's much better to accept people (and animals) as they are and work with their specific abilities. Not try to force things that are unrealistic.
Introvert or Extrovert?
I definitely fall naturally and firmly into the Introvert category, but I have been known to unleash my inner Extrovert when necessary. I’m also right-brained - but can access left brain characteristics. And I doubt I’m alone 😊 Some equine training methods categorise horses as right or left brained, and as introverts or extroverts. What’s been your experience? Have you noticed introvert or extrovert behaviour in your horses? Can you see left or right brain thinking? Or, like us, are they all wonderfully unique combinations of nature, nurture and experiences?

This... 'I definitely fall naturally and firmly into the Introvert category, but I have been known to unleash my inner Extrovert when necessary. I’m also right-brained - but can access left brain characteristics.' Totally me, as you well know. (Though not so introverted if we are friends.) I find it interesting horses can be as well. Never thought about it. Thanks for teaching me something new. 🫶
Full Moon
I love Full Moons 😊 It was too cloudy to capture the Blood Moon in all its glory earlier in the week, but this was the view from my back door last night 😊 The phone camera really doesn’t do justice to how spectacular it was 😊 Did you get any moon shots?

@Eileen Bennett nah, it's only a little. I think the most we've gotten overnight here is about 18 inches. Though there are parts of Alaska that have gotten literally 4-8 feet over night this year. 😱
