Hello family 💛 Hope you are doing amazing. Hope you have had a beautiful and restful weekend and a good start to the week so far. I have a quick topic I wanted to bring to your attention because I feel it is very important and crucial when it comes to the work we are doing here together. This is for those of you who are serious about the spiritual and personal development pursuit. Which I am sure is all of you reading this because you have decided to join this community. And just so you know. We like to go deep here. The aim is real transformation. So we have to get down to the nitty gritty sometimes. So take this in and let me know if it resonates. In the spiritual and non-dual space there is a concept referred to as becoming a Zen devil. It refers to someone who has a spiritual insight or awakening experience and then uses that as a reason to stop doing the work. They think they have arrived. They dismiss personal development. They drop their values and principles. And then slowly let themselves go without realising it. The ego then creeps back in and the chaos that follows is often worse than before they started. They half assed it. And it cost them. But here is the thing. There is also the opposite trap on the other end of the spectrum. That is known as spiritual bypassing. This is the person who only reads the books. Only consumes the content. Only talks about the theory. But uses spirituality to avoid dealing with real life. They float in the concepts without ever grounding them. They skip over the shadow work, the hard emotions, the difficult conversations and the real inner reckoning that this journey requires. Both extremes lead to the same place. Stagnation. Confusion. Going in circles. And if you have chosen to be on this journey. If you have decided that you want real change and real growth. Then you have to take it seriously. Walking that middle path of constant work and improvement is your only real choice. That means being willing to do the things most people are not willing to do.
