@Sarah Hays That’s huge. Working two jobs for that long takes serious grit, and most people don’t understand how much it drains you until you finally come up for air. It’s good that you’re giving yourself space again — you’ve earned that. Getting back into hobbies and things that actually make you feel like you is one of the best forms of self-care. I like your energy though. You sound like someone who knows how to work hard but also knows the value of actually living life. That’s the kind of mindset I vibe with. It’d be cool to keep talking and share that “getting-my-life-back” journey together.
Have Fun!
🛼 SK8SHOT fam, real question for everyone…What’s the one thing you’re currently working on in your skating — balance, speed control, backwards flow, transitions, or just building confidence? Everyone here is from different cities, levels, and styles… which makes this group powerful. Drop yours below and maybe share one tiny technique that helped you level up recently. You never know who it might help. I’ll start the thread once a few people jump in — let’s see what everyone’s cooking on wheels today. 🔥

@Lisa Ray That actually makes sense. Learning to step instead of depending on the wheels is one of those skills that feels small but changes everything. That backward-to-forward step you practiced isn’t easy at all — it takes real control. And Downtown is a smart move too; it forces rhythm, foot placement, and balance all at once. I like how you break your sessions into clear little goals. It shows you’re actually studying the craft, not just rolling around. It’s motivating to hear, honestly. You give off the vibe of someone who’s easy to learn from and easy to talk skating with.

@Lisa Ray Haha, same here 😂. There’s just something about skating that hooks you, right? The feeling, the tricks, the people—it all clicks. Honestly, it’s rare to meet someone who’s genuinely as into it as you are. I’d love to swap tips or just hear more things about what you’ve been working on lately.

I explore life and the world — from hidden alleys to daily small wonders. Curiosity opens doors; every journey reshapes how I see home. Always curious
