Tried Something New Today… 👀💎
So I was in Walmart… minding my business 😌 And I came across these Diamond Art kits on clearance for $4… I don’t even know much about it…but I’ve always said I wanted to try it, so I grabbed two. And it got me thinking… 👉 How many times do we talk ourselves out of trying something new? Because we don’t know how… Or we’re not “good” at it yet… Or it just feels unfamiliar? Today I didn’t overthink it. I just said, “let me try it.” That’s the energy I’m on right now 💛 So here’s your little nudge for today: 👉 What’s something small you’ve been curious about but haven’t tried yet? It doesn’t have to be big. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Just something that makes you say… “hmm, I wonder…” If you’ve tried diamond art before, tell me 👀 And if not, what’s YOUR version of this? Let’s talk 👇🏽

I have been focusing on my Skool community and learning a balance between work and my creative hobbies. I hyperfocus a lot so finding a balance is important

Hey Creatives! 👋🏽 As I keep building out this community, I don't want to create things without asking you first 😄 So I have a few honest questions and I genuinely want your input: a.) What would help you most right now on your creative journey? b.) What kind of content or experiences would make you show up more consistently? c.) Is there something missing that you wish we had? d.) What's one thing you'd love to see inside this community? Drop your honest thoughts below — no wrong answers, I'm genuinely listening and building based on what YOU need 💖🎨"

I personally need all sorts of accountability to make sure I finish everything I start. Sometimes I have a multitude of different creative tasks on the go that never get finished - I lose interest when the novelty wears off. Perhaps a weekly or monthly thread of what needs to be finished type thing where we can help each other see things through to the end?

@Danielle Thompson I like the idea of a co-creative session! That would be a great way to help motivate those that need it.
Do you think creativity can be a healing practice? 🎨
I've been thinking about this a lot lately and I want to hear your thoughts. Do you think creativity — art journaling, mixed media, music, making things — can actually be a healing practice? Or is that giving it too much credit? For me personally, creativity has been one of the most powerful ways I've processed emotions, reconnected with myself, and moved through hard seasons. But I'm curious what you think. Has creativity ever felt like healing for you? Or does it feel more like just a hobby or outlet? 👇🏽 Let's talk about it 🎨

I do believe it can be healing - having a creative outlet was the first way that my brain started to slow down and just sit with what was in front of me which then helped me learn to sit with my thoughts in silence and actually listen inward. And that was a strange moment in time when I first started because I did not typically like to sit with my thoughts but here I was and I also never considered myself creative and I was creating necklaces from knots.
