One of the biggest lies we tell ourselves as creators and entrepreneurs is that we have to take huge, dramatic steps to succeed. Big leaps. Big changes. Big everything. But here’s what actually happens when we try to “do it all” at once: We overwhelm ourselves. We burn out. We stall. And nothing grows in burnout. Over the past 10+ years of building my YouTube channel, my ministry, and my business, I’ve learned something that has completely changed the way I approach success: 👉🏾 Mastery doesn’t come from massive effort. It comes from consistent 1% improvements. Not big leaps. Not overnight transformations. Not trying to reinvent everything at the same time. Just 1% better, over and over again. Here’s a real example from my own journey: - First, I focused on improving my hook—making sure those first 30 seconds kept viewers watching. - Then, I worked on my video quality, slowly upgrading equipment, lighting, and overall polish. - Next, I improved my calls to action, helping viewers take the next step beyond the video. - After that, I leaned into editing—learning how to keep it engaging and visually appealing. None of these changes happened overnight. None required me to overhaul my whole process. But each small improvement stacked on the last……and 10 years later, here we are. Your success will grow the same way. Not from exhausting yourself trying to change everything at once, but from choosing one small thing to get better at—one percent at a time. So today I want to ask you: 👉🏾 What’s your 1% this week? What’s one small improvement you can make in your business, your content, your system, or your message? You don’t need perfection. You don’t need to sprint. You simply need consistent, faithful, intentional 1% steps. Because small steps don’t stay small, they compound. They strengthen your craft, and they quietly carry you toward the future you’re building. Keep going. Your 1% is enough. 💜
