President John F Kennedy stated in his famous "Moonshot" speech: "We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard,” However, most people are not familiar with the second part of the quote which is “because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win." His point: the transformation that comes from completing the hard task is its own reward. Plus that transformation and the effort to make it happen would change the country for the better.
