Risk free investing?
Do you guys use your free available cash for instant cash deposit accounts? I've been trying this, instead of keeping funds in y current account. When I have no plans for the cash, but I know I will be using those in a near future, I pop them into low interest bearing ~5%p.a. immediately available cash accounts. Anyone does the same or is it me maximising my returns?

Let's share our pain and seek for light
We all have our lows in life and need to overcome one way or another. If you have overcame your problems, please tell us how. If you are in the process, let us in to share your pain and push you further for the new highs! I was 100kg with 40% body fat, gave up on my body, was a terrible first time dad and a husband that failed to see his wife's depression. We are bouncing back now slowly, but times were exceptionally bad, that everytime I saw a bad driver on the street, I secretly hoped for the bad outcome to just lie down in a hospital bed and rest counting on insurance to cover everything. Has it completely healed? No, but way waaaaay better now and I can see a way out from here.

Beautiful vulnerability from both of you. Having children both made me and broke me. Being a mother has tested me to my fullest capacity. Its made me a much stronger version of who I once was. 7 years ago I hit my rock bottom, money wasnt covering, I was running a failing business getting into more debt to keep it going then I was earning I was using my husands wage to pay staff and leaving us with nothing, I had a baby and an undiagnosed autistic 6 year old I was in crisis with, who i had just found out had started self harming at school, I was seeking support for her with dead ends at every turn. I have an Incredible husband and amazing family who supported me as soon as they realised for which I am so so grateful! I suffered major anxiety that stopped me from doing the basics (I couldn't even go shopping on my own and something as simple as school run would break me everyday). I went onto antidepressants for a while whilst I put myself back together, I focussed first on my finances I hired a business coach. As part of my business coach package there was a mindset coach who helped with the tools to peice myself back together bit by bit. I delved into the world of universal laws and how our brains work. 3 months later I weaned off of my antidepressants. I had started my journey of self discovery and now? I am very much still on that journey but even as I wrote that story I realise how much healing I have allowed myself! There is still so much I need to uncover but I sit on the journey content and excited for it
How I’m balancing a full-time job, two kids, and a growing side hustle (while avoiding the dad bod)
Hi everyone! This page is about helping each other, sharing issues and sharing advices on how to overcome problems. I’ve been working full-time in finance, raising two kids under five, and slowly building a side hustle on evenings and weekends (which has just started and is at £0). It’s been far from easy — juggling family time, gym sessions, work, and still trying to stay sane... Lack of sleep is criminal. Over time, I created a system that’s actually working: - I wake up at 5 am, prepare milk for my wife, then off to gym by 5:30am - 6-8 gym session to organise my thoughts (which is how I got here) - 8-9 look for ways on how to get out of this swamp! - 9-6 full-time job - Weekly financial goals - 4-day workout split - And most importantly… protecting family time I want this community to be for dads, professionals, side hustlers — where we share what’s working and help each other stay accountable (without all the hustle culture noise). In the next post I would like to share what made me do it all, as it might be of interest to you. What systems or routines are working for you right now? Let’s swap notes

Good morning thank you for accepting me into your community. I am a mum of 2 my eldest with varying medical needs (but my heart sings gratitude that she lives a normal life, we just have to account for hospital appointments on the regular). I worked as a dog trainer my business is going into its 11th year. 2 years ago we expanded and bought 10 acres of land and a boarding kennels which was the dream for us. Our lives went from a demi detached in a town to having to drive 15 mins to the shop it was quite the shift. My husband decided to quit his job a year ago his commute was 1.5hours each way and we rarely see eachother, things here were taking their toll on me and we now work together to build the kennels and we run as a family with a very small team. My work means I get to spend hours of time outside in the woods which is just amazing for the soul. I also rack up around 25-30k steps a day in my work. Between that and lugging wood, dogs, tires etc around my workouts tend to be incorporated into our day to day living. (I lost 1.5stone within the forst 6 months of living here without changing anything else) I focus on my energy on: keeping grounded, taking 5 to just come back to the present. This place is big, busy and sometomes alot so its important to remain in the here and now to not become overwhelmed at times. We have also started to grow some of our own food this year (albeit badly at tomes but its all part of the adventure) the plums from our own fruit trees are my absolute favourite snack. My diet needs work though I am not ashamed to say it I am a sucker for anything sweet! I also want to refocused on reclaiming some free time in my life where we get to relax Things always feel so busy especially as we learn the seasons here so each year I am working towards it being a little easier and freer for us. I have also just set up a second business using my hypnotherapy qualification. My husband has also set up 2 sideline hustles 1 selling natural dog treats and 1 buying and selling trading cards and memorabilia which is something he has had a love for for years so its amazing to see him finally doing the thing for himself!

@Abdusamad Mukhamadrakhimov I would say I am a dreamer haha I have big goals and intentions and am not afraid to take the risks to make them happen. When I look at how we live from an outside perspective I realise how much we decided to go against the societal norms to follow our instincts and do it anyway. I have learnt that when things feel out of alignment we need to change things up and each time we do we move into the next stage of growth. It is only when we are scared and allow fear to take over we stay stuck.
