Want to quit your 9-to-5 job in 2026? Do these 5 things! 👀
👉TL;DR: Type CHECKLIST in the comments to get my 6 Months to Freedom Checklist. This week I published a poll in here in LEAP with a simple question: “When do you plan to leave your 9-to-5 job?” And the most popular answer was by the end of 2026. Not someday or eventually or other vague-yet-far-away answer. THIS YEAR. 🚀 Which means we’ve got about 9 months to make it happen. The truth is that you won’t quit your job by hoping harder. You quit your job by hitting specific targets on purpose. Here are the 5 non-negotiables if you want out: 1️⃣ Get clear on WHY you’re leaving Are you bored? Burned out? Over it? Or do you actually want a business that pays you $10K+ months? Because those are VERY different paths. And FYI, you don’t have to quit your job to earn full-time income. But if you DO want to leave, then your reason better be strong enough to carry you through the hard days. 2️⃣ Get clear on your NUMBERS I’m talking about your spaghetti number 🍝 that I've described in many trainings. It's the bare minimum you need to survive so you can pay rent/mortgage, bills, and basic food (ie, spaghetti). This means you're NOT buying cute extras, going on Target runs, or jetting off on vacations. Then there's your comfort number 💛 that gives you a buffer to live your life without wanting to scream into a pillow every single day. The part people love to ignore is that you need to hit those numbers consistently for at least 3 months before you quit. Not once. Not “almost.” Consistently. 3️⃣ Hit your BENCHMARKS (this is where most people fail) You don’t just wake up and quit your job next Tuesday. You need: ✅ Consistent income ✅ Clients or product sales coming in regularly ✅ Systems set up (payments, automations, emails) ✅ Support so it doesn’t all collapse after you quit I have a 6-month checklist for quitting your 9-to-5 job that walks you through exactly what to do each month with specific benchmarks and action steps so you're never guessing.
