🎤 Vocal Check Wednesdays are coming up
*Update* This Thread is now closed. Please wait for the next Vocal Check Wednesday to share. If you’d like direct feedback from me, drop a 30–60 second voice recording or video of yourself singing a song you want feedback on. It does NOT have to be perfect. I’m listening for: - tension - control - pitch - breath support - confidence - and overall vocal habits The more honest/raw the clip, the more I can actually help. **Some of you have already sent recordings in—if that’s you, just note that feedback will begin on Wednesday.** Also, to help me stay organized and make sure I don’t miss anybody, it’s best to submit your recordings under this post so I can keep everything in one place 🙏🏽 Looking forward to hearing you guys!

@Shadia Bradley Hey Shadia, you sound good👍🏾 I love that I can see the emotion you’re putting into the song. I definitely want to improve in that area. Good luck to you.

@Nickesha Morris Hi Nickesha, great job 👏🏾 and nice song selection. It sounds like a hard song to sing but I love the power of your voice. Blessings to you.
Introduction
Hello everyone, my name is Nashadia (Nuh-shy-Dee-yuh). I joined this community to get back into singing. I use to sing a lot growing up and as I had gotten older I moved away from my love of singing. I stopped singing and showing up for myself after a season of brokenness. God has been stirring my desire to get back into singing again and as I have been doing so, I’ve found a joy that comes with it. Because I haven’t sung in a very long time, I get tired and winded easy. I also strain a lot and forgot how to sing. I’m here to learn and just enjoy.

Hi Shadia, this process of taking singing seriously is giving me so much respect for singers- this isn’t easy but it’s so worth it when you have a passion for singing. Good luck to you 👍🏾
Hi Everyone!!
Hi everyone! My name is Alscott! I’m excited to be here! To learn, grown and share this space with others who are vulnerable enough to be here. Over the last few years I’ve been trying to learn my voice and gain the confidence to sing in my voice, not a voice I’m trying to mimic and it’s been getting better slowly, but I need support and knowledge. I sung when I was younger but gave up on it as I got older, but over the last few years through my work with tv, I’ve been writing with artists to develop original music for my media projects and it has made me want get my voice together.

Hey Alscott, I also want to learn my voice. I feel like I never know what it’s going to do 😆I’ve already started learning from this community and I hope you get all that you’re looking for.
Walking Into Purpose
Heyy everyone, my name is Trinity and I am a full-time psychology student while working full time. I’ve always loved to sing ever since I was a kid. I was lead singer in many musicals at my hometown church and somewhat musically trained. Had a ton of fun times in theater but I stepped away whenever life got in the way. God has brought me through a lot over the last couple of years and completely saved my life. I’ve learned since that my purpose is to use my voice to reach people. After putting it off for 2 years I decided enough was enough and walk into what I’m meant to do. I’ve recently put down my nicotine habit and learning how to take better care of my voice. I’m starting fresh and from the beginning. I look forward to all of us growing!

1st Personalized Vocal Review is up! 🎤
@Kenja Jones went first 👏🏽👏🏽 👏🏽 I posted her clip below + my personalized review with exercises and homework for the week. Who’s next?👀 📣 Singers: Drop one line of a song you’re struggling with (45–60 sec). Record on your phone, then post it to the community wall using the paperclip icon to attach your recording. And truly—take advantage of this season while we’re still small. Right now I can listen closely and respond 1:1 in a way that won’t always be possible as this community grows. No perfection. Just progress.🤍
