Why More Income Doesn't Mean More Choice
New video is up this week 👇 The core idea: every raise you get, your lifestyle tends to follow. Floor goes up. Gap shrinks. And the gap is the only place where real choice actually lives. I also get into the one move that starts to change it, paying yourself first. Fill your savings and emergency fund buckets before lifestyle gets a single dollar. Then live on what's left. Not a budget. Not willpower. A system. 🎥 Watch it here: https://youtu.be/Da4bbkWVhE0 After you watch — I want to know: Do you pay yourself first? If not, what gets in the way? Drop it below. This is exactly the kind of thing we're here to work through together. 🐢

More income doesn’t equal more freedom, the floor keeps rising with lifestyle, shrinking your real choices. Pay yourself first, define your real floor, and automate savings to create the gap that actually buys you time and options.

Cancel, or downgrade one thing this week
In my newest video ( link below) I talk about the prevalence of lifestyle creep and it's role in keeping people who make good money from feeling secure. I am going to challenge this group to find one thing to cancel, or downgrade this week. It may seem like a small thing or even a drop in the bucket, but the act of looking for the thing to cancel, and the act of doing it do two thigs: 1. Creates awareness of what you are spending your money on and, 2. Creates confidence when you realize you have power over your finances, not the other way around. So...what did you cancel? https://www.skool.com/your-first-million-5213/how-the-wealthy-stop-feeling-broke-and-one-thing-you-can-do-today-so-that-you-dont-either?p=4e7041cb

I cancelled a subscription on doordash, but also added a $3 subscription on rocketmoney.

Having just gone through qutting my "stable" job and buying my own health insurance this past fall I found this interesting. What are ypur thoughts on this conundrum?

Agreed. Which is why your 6months savings goal needs to account for health insurance bought on marketplace
