Etsy Sales
When you get a sale, do you send any emails to the buyers? "Order being processed", "thank you for your order "etc?

I used to do this, but recently had a warning about sending unsolicited messages and had a messaging ban. So personally I will be avoiding doing this!
Anyone had this before?
I've recently been sending follow-up messages to customers who's products have arrived to just say I hope everything has arrived well, and if you enjoyed we would really appreciate a review as a small shop, stuff like this. And I've received this email from Etsy. How could this be against policy this is simply checking up with a customer after an order - just good customer service ?

Little Bulk Listing Tool Glitch
This is more for @Max Murray , but when I'm adding a personalisation box to my template on the bulk listing tool it doesn't let me add spaces, it just seems like this section is a bit glitched and you might want to take a look for yourself! I have figured out how to add spaces now but it took a weird method to do it and I reckon this may need a fix.

Etsy suggested titles
Etsy has suggested I change a bulk of my titles. Not sure if any are ones that have been created by the PS listing tool but my question is: do you take notice of the Etsy suggestions and approve their suggested titles?

I do, unless there’s an obvious error. Etsy want us to make money, so they make money. I doubt they would have even implemented this feature in the first place if they didn’t think it would make a difference.

@Jan Ibbott Etsy will have figured out what type of titles perform best for sellers, and then will have trained the AI based off of this. I find that normal Ai’s such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, aren’t always good at making titles tbh but always use your common sense to override any AI titles if you think you could do a better one. The AI normally only intervenes if it’s over 14 words or there is repeated words I find..
Market Research Techniques
Hi all. Just putting a question out there to the successful Etsy shop owners out there to explore some different angles of Market Research. I’m familiar with using Everbee and Etsy’s Market Insights tool to research demand / supply of certain search terms to find a good niche, however I’m intrigued to hear how everyone else approaches this (and I’m sure so will a lot of beginners). My main question is this: when you see a high demand / high competition ‘niche’, does this push you away or does the high demand draw you in. Personally, I feel like my mockups are really good, along with my designs, and I confidently think my listings are better than 80% of the market I see when I search - but it’s high competition in certain markets which puts me off creating a load of listings for that type of product. A little (competitive) part of me thinks if I post enough listings within this high demand niche then I’ll hopefully convert decently well since there is such a high search volume - although I am new(ish) to Etsy with around £500 revenue after a month. Basically, would be really interested to hear how people approach this matter and whether they’ve found success in their methods. Thanks!
