Today, one of my Service Pros decided they didn’t want to work...
No emergency. No heads-up. Just opted out....Went to the Gym! So after finishing my own route, I drove 2 hours to take care of it myself. The customer was expecting a one-time service. I left with a signed annual agreement. Paid in Cash. That’s the difference between covering a stop and owning the result. This isn’t about being the hero. It’s a reminder: Leadership starts where excuses stop. Some managers lead from behind the phone. Others lead from the driveway, sleeves up. At Solve Pest Pros – Winter Park, we don’t do ghosts. No missed stops. No skipped steps. No passengers. If you're not ready to own the customer experience—someone else will. In this industry, trust is earned in driveways and doorways—not just logos and leads. If you won’t show up, I will. — Ian Terry Solve Pest Pros | Winter Park, FL Branch Manager | Licensed Operator | Service-Pro First Culture #ServicePros #LeadFromTheFront #SolveStandard #PestControl #BlueCollarLeadership #WinterParkBusiness #FieldOps #AccountabilityWins #NoGhosts #CultureOverConvenience

I stay disciplined — hit the gym, stay focused. Boss was a little heated the other day, but I was waiting on my K9 since another tech was running him, and walk-ins were done by 4 PM in the area anyway — he agreed. I never walk on one-time services. I always push recurring — that’s the easiest and most honest sell. I tell customers straight up: “Your one-time service is $300. But if I get you on an EOM plan, I’ll do the initial for $250 today — and now you’ve got five more services built in at $135 each.” When you educate people instead of pressuring them, the reactive customers realize they actually love having a 100% pest-free home. Hey end of the year your not happy cancel. Most people just don’t know what consistent service actually does. And the spider webs — that’s been the funniest part. When I first started, customers thought permanent control was impossible. The next year, my customers were telling me, “The webs are gone for good.” Love that stuff.. Wish I got into this industry in my 20's id be killing it.
Hello!!!
Pest technician/sales – 5 years in the industry and I truly love what I do. I feel lucky to have landed in this field. After running a towing and repossession company for 8 years, this has been a much more peaceful — and potentially very lucrative — industry for those who put integrity first instead of blowing smoke. I’ll likely be running my own company in the near future. Anyway, here’s Mac, our bed bug detection K9. I’ll be posting a live demo with actual bed bugs soon. Just started trying out these budget smart glasses, so don’t judge 😄 Az Phx/Prescott company Azex Pest Solutions involved in Equipment/K9's/Pest Services.
Hello!!!
I Carried Everyone. Then I Cracked.
I used to think I had to fix everything. Be the one who held it all together. No cracks. No mess. Perfect dad. Solid leader. Stoic as hell. But real life? It is messy. The people I love most? “Crazy but good” doesn’t even scratch the surface. They’re healing. Hurting. Growing. Just like me. The truth is, Some days I still carry too much, Smile when I’m wrecked inside, Lead when I barely believe in myself. But I’ve stopped pretending. I’ve stopped trying to “fix” the ones I love. I just show up. I love them hard. I keep us moving forward. If you're in the thick of it, Holding it down for everyone but yourself... You’re not broken. You’re becoming. Drop a 💯 if you're riding through the chaos too.
