Hi everyone! ♥️ I just wanted to take a moment to give you all a little update. Surgery went very well, and thankfully, my recovery has been going well too. I’m still taking things day by day, focusing on healing, resting, and getting my strength back. But while I’ve been recovering, I’ve been watching from the sidelines… and let me just say: I SEE YOU! 👀🔥 This community has been growing, and I couldn’t be more proud! Seeing new members join, new conversations happening, and the community continuing to move forward has truly meant so much to me: Well… I’m officially back! 🎉 And I’m coming back with some BIG updates, new ideas, and exciting changes for this community. We’re going to be making things more organized, more valuable, and even more intentional so that everyone here has a place to learn, connect, grow, and actually take action. There will be some new resources, new ways to engage, upcoming opportunities, and a few things I think you’re REALLY going to love. Starting this community, my mission has and will always be to empower professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in medical billing and credentialing. My journey is real from where I started to where I am today and I’ve always had a goal of becoming the person who inspires others to take ownership of their journey, believe in themselves, and create the career they deserve. But right now, I need to take my own advice. Due to an urgent health concern, I need to take a time out for the next few days/weeks to focus on recovery, rest, and my mental health. ❤️ This decision isn’t easy for me because I genuinely love what I do and I love this community. I’ve always tried to show up, share what I’ve learned, answer questions, encourage others, and remind you that your starting point does not determine your destination. But sometimes, life reminds us that we have to pause. And that’s okay. Rest is not quitting. Taking a break is not failure. Asking yourself to slow down is not weakness. It’s recognizing that you matter too. So, Season 4 is officially going on HIATUS while I take the time I need to get myself back to a better place—physically, mentally, and emotionally. I’m not saying goodbye. I’m saying, “I’ll be back.” 💛 In the meantime, continue learning, continue growing, continue asking questions, and most importantly, continue believing in yourself and your journey. If you’re a biller, credentialing specialist, therapist, healthcare provider, or healthcare entrepreneur, Protected Health Information (PHI) can show up in places you may not expect. 💡 Wisdom for today: Before sending an email, uploading a document, sharing a screenshot, or discussing a patient online, stop and ask: “Does this contain information that could identify the patient?” If the answer is yes, make sure you’re using an appropriate HIPAA-compliant process and protecting that information appropriately. 🔐 Remember: HIPAA compliance isn’t just a policy—it’s part of building trust with your clients and their patients.
