Thank you so much for the questions! Yes, I’ve always liked reading. What got me writing is a bit of a story. I was having a really tough time at work and I wanted to read something to help me relax. I tried several fantasy books, but they were honestly pretty stressful and did very little to help ease my mind. So, I went back to my favorite book, The Hobbit. But, I’ve read it five times now so, while I still love it, I kind of have it memorized. As much as I love The Lord of the Rings, it’s definitely a different tone and wasn’t what I needed at that time. That’s when I decided to write a book with a similar feel to The Hobbit (cozy fantasy/silly adventure) that would help stop me from stewing in negative thoughts and might also help other people in similar circumstances.

@Eric Anderson only family and friends. They’ve been very supportive and have provided some fantastic feedback. Incorporating their notes is partly why I’ve gone over the book so many times!
