Prepping for my first Challenge
This is the entry sequence Iโ€™ve been practicing ahead of taking my first challenge: liquidity sweep โ†’ price runs into a higher timeframe FVG โ†’ wait for CISD to confirm the shift โ†’ enter with opposing liquidity as the draw. Only Asia session for me since Iโ€™m working during NY session For anyone whoโ€™s done multiple challenges, which prop firm would you recommend for a first one? Looking at FTMO but open to suggestions if others have had a better experience with rules, payouts, or support. ๐Ÿค

@Razvan Mocanu Really appreciate the detailed breakdown. Volume Profile is something I havenโ€™t incorporated yet, so thatโ€™s a great starting point to test. On session timing, Asia is genuinely my only option right now since I work through NY hours, but I like the idea of using it more for context building than forcing it as my main execution window. Thanks for laying this out so clearly.

@Elise Saahlie Honestly itโ€™s mostly what Iโ€™ve been forced to work with given my schedule, so I donโ€™t have a real comparison yet. From what others have pointed out here, Asia tends to have lower volume and can deliver more erratically, especially on indices, so thatโ€™s something Iโ€™m still learning to account for.
Letโ€™s spill the psychology secrets ๐Ÿ‘€
Whatโ€™s the best trading psychology advice youโ€™ve heard, and actually trade by? For me itโ€™s understanding that my job isnโ€™t to make money today, itโ€™s to stay aligned with reality and protect the quality of my decisions. Emotional regulation has helped me a lot with this. The more regulated I am, the more present I become the less I project fear, hope or urgency when trading and the easier it is to simply trade whatโ€™s actually there and not what i hope to be there, or feeling unresolved tension in my body. For me, good trading is more about staying clear enough not to distort or project your desires into the market. Whatโ€™s your thoughts on this and what did you have to overcome to become a better trader? ๐Ÿ˜

This really resonates. I think thatโ€™s the hardest shift in trading โ€” going from trying to control the outcome to just staying honest about whatโ€™s in front of you. Emotional regulation makes such a difference; the calmer I am, the easier it is to just react to what the market is actually doing instead of what I want it to do. Thanks for putting it into words.
Practice long entry
Another practice entry. Iโ€™d really appreciate any corrections if something is wrong ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

The IFVG touch alone wasnโ€™t enough for me to enter, maybe the price can tag a zone like that without actually reacting. I wanted extra confirmation that delivery had shifted before committing, so I waited for that before pulling the trigger.
Community Update: A New Approach
Hey guys, some of you might have noticed that the community is now closed and no new members can join. There are some exciting reasons behind this and a few big updates coming, which I'll explain properly during the next live session. I'm also going to be taking a slightly different approach to the live sessions and my trading in general. Since losing my FundedNext funding, I'm going to be starting multiple new CFD challenges at the same time, this time making absolutely sure that everything stays within each firm's rules. The objective is simple: build up my CFD allocation and acquire as much funding as possible. Because of this, you'll probably see me trading more frequently. Not every trade will necessarily be the extremely high-confluence setup you're used to seeing me wait for. I'll be approaching the challenges differently, taking valid opportunities when they present themselves while managing risk according to the objective of passing these accounts. More importantly, I'm going to show you the entire process behind the scenes. We'll track exactly how much is being spent on challenges versus how much is eventually withdrawn in payouts. I'll also walk you through the copy trader I use, my MetaTrader setup, how I use Magic Keys for risk management, how I manage multiple accounts, and the decisions I'm making throughout the process. It doesn't get much more behind the scenes than this. You'll get to see the wins, the losses, the challenges being passed or failed, and ultimately whether the entire process produces a positive return. Hopefully this gives you something genuinely valuable to follow and learn from, rather than only seeing the end result when a payout arrives. New chapter starts now.

Sounds great, looking forward to this. Will the live sessions be recorded and posted in the community?
Backtest question: IFVG or the original FVG
Hey @Razvan Mocanu , Iโ€™m in backtest mode and trying to identify the zone to trading. On a bearish NAS100 M5 setup I end up with two possible entry areas only a few points apart: the IFVG (1) and the original bearish FVG (2) just below it. From your point of view, which of the two would you expect to hold better as a short entry area?
