I'm in the coworking room, trying not to be mad that for some reason, the thing I just dictated didn't save right, so I lost all the juicy stuff. :( I have way more to finish than I planned, but I'll get there! How was everyone's week? We're at the end of the month, so let's talk about what went well, what didn't, and what you can do to set yourself up for a successful June! In my case, I overestimated what I was going to accomplish in May, largely because I had a conference I attended for PublishDrive, a family event, AND, I spent a week doing training for an emotional healing process I'm learning. It was way more intense than I planned, but I'm giving myself grace, knowing that I didn't have as much bandwidth as I thought, which is good, because I will be doing something similar in September. So I know to not plan as much for September. In June, I will also be doing a lot of traveling. I will be in Europe most of June (YAY), and while I am working on a travelogue of my trip that I will eventually be publishing, I am purposely not telling a lot of people, other than my Substack followers, so I'm not held to a deadline that will stress me out. So, for June, I am really giving myself permission to DO NOTHING all month. Which, by the way, is kind of a lie, because I am still going to be doing my training on my trip (I have to have so many hours for certification by the end of November), and I am also planning on still doing my weekly lives on Substack, AND, while I am taking some vacation from work, there are a few projects I will be working on. Why am I telling you all of this? Because knowing what's on the horizon is helping me create a plan I can live with. I'm really excited about this trip, and having a framework means I can ENJOY myself, and I'm not stressed about needing to hit a certain goal that I wouldn't have been able to hit anyway. So, for June, I will be putting up the paperback version of my latest release, updating the ebook cover, updating the blurb, making notes for my travelogue, and anything else I get done is gravy. I will also use my time in June to prioritize what I would like to accomplish in July and August, and moving forward. I have not been as focused the past few months because of the training I'm doing, but they are giving us schedules sooner, so that will make it easier.
