ISO Disc Wheelset
Hey friends, looking for a competitively priced secondhand wheelset with a disc. looking to stay under 1k but open to sets that cost more. Hoping for HED, Zipp, or Dt-swiss. Need it to be rim brake and 11spd. Thanks yall!

I have a pair of ORR race wheels that meet these specs. I’d have to ask for a bit more, as they were around $5000 MSRP and only ridden for one season. The disc is a ONE FULL DISC RIM and the front is a ONE78 RIM. Tube or tubeless compatible. I would ask $2500 for the set. Near perfect condition! Will post some pictures here as well

@Nick Sommers willing to negotiate too! Lmk if you want to see them in person!
What is your ultimate race experience?
Hey Loco’s, As a former race director, I’m always curious about what makes an event memorable and worthwhile for everyone involved. From your perspective, what do you feel is most important in a race or venue? Specifically, I’d love your thoughts on what matters most for: - Participants – in terms of course, logistics, or overall experience - Volunteers – in terms of support, organization, and recognition - Sponsors – in terms of visibility, engagement, and value - Spectators – in terms of atmosphere, amenities, and enjoyment Your input would be incredibly valuable, whether it’s from your own experience or what you’ve observed at other events. Thank you in advance for sharing your insights. Joe

I love a big crowd out on the course and especially at the finish. I agree with @Coach Josh De Jong about the bike course -- there is nothing like smooth fast pavement! Enthusiastic volunteers never hurt. I'd rather have directors spend precious funds on a quality course vs. lame snacks and medals. Also, a great finish line announcer can make everyone feel like a ROCKSTAR!

I’ll start us off—here’s me in 2014 vs. me ten years later! Amazing what a decade of training, racing, and growing with this sport can do. 💪🚴‍♂️🏊‍♀️🏃 Now it’s your turn! Drop your own “then vs. now” pics in the comments—whether it’s your first race, your first bike, or just a throwback training photo. Let’s see how far we’ve all come together! 🙌🔥

@Kelsey Nichols THAT SMILE! 🤩
Then and now challenge.
The first photo is from the 2001 Chicago Marathon — my first real taste of long-course endurance. The second is from this August in Lafayette, where I took on a 24-hour cycling challenge and logged 250 miles with 18 hours in the saddle. I started training back in 1976 to rehab an old sports injury and ended up becoming a lifelong runner. Since then, I’ve finished more than 20 marathons, ultramarathons, full Ironman races, and seven half-Ironman events. These days I’m chasing ultra-cycling. At 67, with 50 years of training behind me, I don’t know exactly what’s possible — but I’m ready to find out.
Then and now challenge.
