I set 2 new PRs for myself last weekend!⏰️ My PR single and PR average for 3x3. Not as good as my PBs but we're close. How did I do it? Intentional practice. See, most cubers think they can get better times by just spamming solves back to back. The problem? The way competitions are structured goes against the way you practice at home.❌️ When you solve at home, it's easier to get in the zone because you take no breaks in between solves. But there's a break in between every solve at competitions, which can throw you off especially when you're not used to it. I've been building a practice routine that helps me: 1. Break my PRs 2. Achieve consistent results (similar to the ones I get at home) 3. Manage my nerves at comps 4. Learning new algorithms isn’t fun. You know you need to learn more to cut down your solve time, but the learning process takes forever! It’s even worse when you’ve JUST learned a new alg but forget it mid-solve.🤦‍♂️ The solution? Cube notation.🙌 As a speedcuber, cube notation should come as naturally as your ABCs. It typically appears in algorithms, scrambles, and reconstructions, so it’s imperative that you learn how to read it ASAP! As a beginner, whenever I would learn a new alg, I always found it helpful to say the algorithm out loud while executing it. (Don't judge me!)👀 This hack helped me significantly shorten the learning process so much that I decided to include Cube Notation in the new FREE course in the classroom. 🎁BONUS: I included a SUPER FUN exercise at the end of the video, so make sure to: 1.
